Vision of the Enemy's Battle Plan

As I was praying on April 25, 2000, I began to see in my mind a picture of the Lord. He was sitting on a rock and groups of people of all ages were gathered around Him. They all seemed to be laughing and talking together. I felt joy and peace and happiness as I viewed this scene. At times, the Lord would reach down and bring a child onto His lap. Or, He would reach out and a baby would be placed into His arms. He would then gaze down into the face of the baby and speak softly and tenderly to the baby. At other times, someone would draw close to His side, and He would place His arm around them, and draw them closer to Him. 

An angel approached the Lord. The crowd before the Lord parted to allow the angel to draw near to the Lord. A silence fell over the laughing, joyous crowd as the angel stopped before the Lord and began to speak. From the way this angel was dressed, I sensed immediately that this was a warring angel. Being a warring angel and well aware of the coming battle plan of the enemy, he spoke with a strong sense of urgency and even perplexity in his voice. He was very concerned. 

“There is work to be done”, the angel said to the Lord. “Why do the people only sit here idly? These are dangerous times. The people should be doing battle in prayer and in the spirit. Instead, they sit here at Your feet, laughing. They are completely unaware of what is even now transpiring in the courts of hell”. With great concern in his voice, the angel asked, “Why are You allowing this?” 

[Before continuing the vision, as a side bar to that conversation, I had the impression the angel and the Lord had been in each other's presence numerous times and had many conversations with one another. What the angel said did not sound disrespectful or challenging at all. I could feel how he was feeling, and it was a genuine question in the midst of such perplexing opposition to come.] 

The Lord gazed with love at the angel before Him. “Before I answer your questions”, the Lord replied, “take this child of Mine and show them what is being planned by the enemy”. 

Both the angel and the Lord then turned their heads and stared at me. “This will be too much for her”, the angel protested. “Take her and show her”, the Lord repeated. (The angel bowed his head to the Lord, then turned towards me.) 

I began to back nervously away as the angel approached me. “Where are you taking me?” I asked the angel. “To the enemy's camp”, the angel replied. “Go with him”, the Lord instructed me. 

I felt very nervous and afraid, but allowed the angel to touch me. As soon as the angel touched me, we were in darkness. I felt fear engulf me. “Fear not”, the angel said to me, and instantly, the fear vanished. 

The darkness seemed to dissipate, and I discovered that the angel and I were in what appeared to be a great court. A man was sitting on a large throne, and before him were gathered all types of creatures and men. (This “court” had the appearance of a cave. When I first viewed this scene, I felt stunned. I'm not sure why. It was like something “rebelled” in me at what I was seeing.) 

“Who is that man on the throne?” I asked the angel. “And who are the creatures and men gathered before him?” “That is the accuser of the brethren and his armies”, the angel replied. 

I then realized that I was in the presence of satan. (When the angel informed me that this man was satan, the fact that he was sitting on a throne amazed me. Later, when I prayed about this aspect of the vision, I felt that the Lord said that satan was trying to copy everything that was God's in heaven, for himself.) 

Satan was speaking, and I heard him say, “This will be our strategy”. He then got up from his throne and went to stand in front of a large map on the wall behind him. As I stared at the map, I became aware that it was a map of the entire world. (It is very hard to describe this “map”. The map wasn't actually “pinned” or “hanging” on the wall, but it was in front of the wall. But, it was like I could see it from all angles. And also, I could see like “air waves”, “wind currents”, the tides of the seas, etc. I could also see the hemisphere around the world -- moons, stars, planets, etc. I really have no words or way to correctly put down the appearance of this “map”.) 

Satan began to divide the world into sections. Then, he called out some names. I saw the creatures and the men gathered before satan part, and very large and strong-looking angelic beings approached satan. (I saw four of these mighty-looking angelic beings.) I could sense the power of these beings, and sensed the evil and wickedness of that power. A hush had fallen over the crowd. 

“Who are these beings?” I whispered to the angel whom I was with. The angel I was with seemed concerned. “They are satan's princes”. Satan began speaking again, and he was assigning sections of the world to each of these “princes”. 

“You will need your armies”, satan said to them. “Choose whomever you will. All is at your disposal”. The large beings then began to pick and choose who would be in their particular army. (This was by no means “orderly”. There was a great deal of arguing, bickering, etc.) When they were finished, they all turned back to satan and stared at him. “Each prince will teach you our strategy to deceive and to destroy and to slay mankind”, satan said. “Go with them”. 

The princes and their armies began to exit from the presence of satan. The angel and I began to follow one of the groups. They went into what appeared to be a school room. The prince went to the front of the room and began to instruct his army on how to deceive, destroy and slay the people in their particular section of the world who had been allocated to them. The angel and I then went to each “classroom”. The same plans and strategies were being “taught” in each “classroom”. (By the “same” plans, I don't mean each class was teaching the exact same thing. What I mean is that each class was very thorough in what it was teaching, and on how to apply what was being taught.) 

In some of the classrooms, they were studying political leaders. Their families, homes, lifestyles, etc., were being closely scrutinized. I felt very frightened and helpless, very overwhelmed, as I saw and heard how very thorough these “lessons”, for lack of a better word, were. Nothing was left to chance. Every area of these political leaders' lives was being dissected and investigated and studied. 

Demons were being assigned on how to “attack” and influence and “control” each of these political leaders, their families, and even their friends and co-workers. Nothing was left to chance. Nothing was overlooked. The books they read, the radio stations they listened to, etc., everything, everything was being discussed. The enormity of all of this was absolutely mind-boggling to me. This also occurred with the religious leaders. 

It was the “religion” classes that frightened and shocked me the most. In these classes, religions of the nations were being studied and discussed. Even New Age and occult, wicca, tarot, etc., were being discussed. Buddhism, Hinduism, etc., were being discussed. The bibles and books and other writings for all of these religions were being read and studied. Each denomination of Christianity was being studied. The Bible being studied was the major source of information for these “lessons”. This was truly horrifying and shocking to me that demons were reading and studying the Bible. And, it was all for the intent to twist what was written, and to seek ways to misinterpret, misrepresent, etc., it to Christians. The demons were discussing ways to “dilute” the Gospel. They were discussing ways to “incorporate” major beliefs from all the religions into one big acceptable “gospel for humankind”. 

Some of the demons in these religion classes were ordered to “infiltrate” churches, were being taken into actual churches, and were watching how the people prayed, worshipped, sang, etc. They were studying how messages were being delivered to the congregations in numerous churches. They were studying the individuals who were used in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit. These individuals were followed around constantly by assigned demons, who watched and listened to everything these people said and did. The friends and family members of these individuals were also studied. The demons discussed ways to drive wedges, etc., between those people who were truly being used of God, and the people they went to church with, and even how to cause these people's own pastors and spiritual leaders to lose faith and confidence in these people who were used in the gifts of the Spirit. I felt so angry and frustrated and helpless as I saw and heard how this was to be accomplished, and how it had already been initiated in many, many congregations, and how it was largely succeeding. 

Many of these “religious” demons, for lack of a better word, were being taught how to sing in churches, how to dance in the Spirit, how to pray and teach. I felt at times as if I were going to vomit as I witnessed many demons in these classrooms “practicing” how to worship the Lord, and how to be a Christian. Seeing a demon “dancing before the Lord” is so awful, and so sickening, that there are just no words to describe it adequately. 

Some of these more “major” demons could also work “signs and wonders, and even miracles”. Some of these demons were also being taught how to be “Christ”. This was being done by actually studying the scriptures. Seeing some of these demons acting and speaking like Christ shocked me speechless. Seeing them reading the Bible was like an abomination to me. 

In some of these classes, even UFOs and aliens were being discussed, and how to deceive people through these phenomenon. There were classrooms where food and dress and slang words - yes, slang words(!) were being studied. Crops were being studied and discussed. All of this was just so vast it overwhelmed me. 

Suddenly, the “classes” began to leave the rooms. The angel and I followed them. They congregated back in front of satan. “Report”, satan said. “How will we deceive, destroy and slay mankind?” 

One of the princes came forward and began to outline their plans and strategies to satan. “The people want signs and wonders and miracles from their religious leaders”, the prince said. “We know that our enemy will be, and has begun already, to grant this unto his children. We will slip in with a counterfeit move, and deceive many. We have taught our armies how to mimic worship, praise and looking and acting like a true believer. We will give unto our armies the ability to work signs, wonders and even miracles. But while all become focused upon these outward manifestations, others of us will begin behind the scenes to dilute the message of the gospel. We will accomplish this partly through speaking to the people about God's 'true' nature. We will allow the people to create God into what and whom they want Him to be”. 

“Good”, satan said. “Very good”. 

The prince began to speak once again. “When the people have created their own version of God, then, we will give them OUR god”. The crowd before satan began to cheer wildly. 

“We must depart!” the angel urged me. Suddenly, we were back before the Lord. He was still in the midst of His children; laughing with them, talking to them, touching them. A silence fell over the group once again as the angel I was with once more approached the Lord. The angel reported to the Lord all we had heard and seen in hell. 

The angel was very concerned and distressed, asking, “Why are You just sitting here with the people? Why haven't they been sent to begin battle? How will they be able to discern this coming great deception if they aren't even aware that one is coming?” 

The Lord became grave. His face as He looked at His children was alight with His great love for them. I noticed tears in His eyes. Then, He turned His head and looked at the angel, speaking with Him. 

“My children will know the false, by knowing the true”, the Lord said. “The longer they spend in My Presence, the more they will know My voice when they hear it. A voice of a stranger, they will not follow”. “But the enemy has those who have been taught to speak just as You do”, the angel protested. “They sound almost just like You”. 

“Almost”, the Lord replied gently. “Almost they sound like Me. Only My sheep who have lingered long in My Presence will know the voice of their true Shepherd. And this is why I spend so much time with My children. I spend as much time with them as they allow Me to. I know very well what the enemy is planning. My plans are plans of love and fellowship”. The angel and the Lord both fell silent as they gazed at the crowd before the Lord. “Love them well!” the angel replied. 

“Yes, a battle is coming”, the Lord sighed, and I saw tears in His eyes. “Great wickedness and persecution upon My children; My true children who know My voice. A time of wickedness and persecution such as has never been seen or experienced. Yet in the midst of it all, I will move, I will bless, I will speak, I will love. I will win. There are those of My children who sense much of this. They are the ones who will never stop praying and interceding; not even in times of seeming peace”. “What about me, Lord?” I asked. 

The angel and the Lord looked at me. “Pray”, the Lord replied. “Tell the prayer warriors to strengthen themselves and their brothers and sisters in the times of peace. I will be pouring out of My Spirit upon all nations and peoples. It will spread to even the most unlikely of places -- television, magazines, newspapers, radios, even the Internet. And it will be here that the battle will truly begin, and the deception begin”. 

The Lord stood up. “It is time?” the angel asked Him. “It is time”, the Lord replied. Then, I was no longer with the Lord or the angel, but praying once again. 

John 10 is in my mind; especially verse 14: “I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine”.   

 

 

Discernment Delivers from False Prophets 

Jay Nara - Romania - 06/09/2008 (David's notes in red) 

I dreamed I was in a class with several other pupils. We were in this big room which looked rather like a gymnasium and I remember thinking and missing my friends from other classes whom I remembered were long gone away. David Eells was our teacher and I was standing next to him. (A type of David, the Man-child.) David was telling me that the previous night there was a party at his next door neighbor's house and he didn't get much sleep. (God's people giving into lasciviousness have truly caused me some loss of sleep.) He was casually dressed, like a sports teacher or a trainer. (We have to train the people of God to get in shape for the contest to come.) Since I was seeing his profile I noticed he was wearing a patch or a piece of wool over his nose, like he had a nose job, or even more, it looked to me like something he was wearing to filter the air he was breathing. (This nose filter represents the ability to discern good from evil. The nose gives discernment to the mind that is neither seen nor heard. Wool over the nose represents having the true clothing or actions of sheep, which filter out the false spirits, which is the meaning of “breath” in the Hebrew.) 

The next thing I remember was a tall man entering the room, accompanied with a woman. (The tall man is seen in many dreams as the corporate false prophet and his companion the harlot church.) They were dressed in suits and looked to me like teachers. The man came and was standing next to me and I knew they were there to acquire some pupils for themselves. (They will seek through lasciviousness, meaning a license to excess, to draw aside disciples of Christ.) I tried to ignore him since I could tell what his intentions were, and then he pointed his finger at me. I looked around for David but couldn't see him. (We will face temptation alone.) I turned to the man and looked at his face for the first time. He was so tall, almost all the way up to the ceiling; I remember feeling the pain in my neck as I was struggling to look at his face. (His great size represents a corporate body of people.) He was nicely groomed, curly haired and had bright grey watery eyes. (They tend to see things in grey, not black or white, as in wrong or right.)  

Being determined, I told him that I was not going with him because David was my teacher. As I was saying these words I was getting weak. I remember being hardly able to say that last word “teacher”, but I succeeded. He looked shocked and very offended because obviously he had the authority to choose from the class as he liked, and he looked at the woman (harlot?) with disbelief. He looked back to me, trying to put some smile on his angry face, and then I woke up.

(The Sanskrit meaning for “Jay” is “victory”. Although tempted, Jay, in this dream, obviously represents those who gain the victory over the false prophet and harlot because of their training in discernment. We are told that the Word exercises our senses to discern good from evil: Heb.5:12 For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need again that someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food. 13 For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word of righteousness; for he is a babe. 14 But solid food is for fullgrown men, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.) 

 

 

Persecution from the False Prophet 

Kaile H. - 01/19/2011 (David's notes in red) 

This is one of the most powerful and vivid dreams that I have had to date. At the beginning of it, I realized that I was a spectator to what was happening in it. I saw a man who was dressed very nicely; he was wearing a gray silk suit and a red silk tie with his hair slicked back and carried himself with self-confidence, almost to the point of being narcissistic. This man was walking around a mall and talking to people of all ages. As he talked to some people, he invited them to a meeting at his house. I noticed as he spoke to the various people that he was very charming and was able to persuade about 20 people to follow him to his home. (The slick man represents the False Prophet who with “feigned words makes merchandise” of the Word and the people. His red tie makes him appear to be wrapped in the blood of Jesus. The mall represents the buying and selling of Babylonish religion. He is narcissistic because he is egotistical and selfish of gain of reputation and material things.) 

I followed them out to the parking lot where they carpooled behind this man in his luxury car. I saw them drive over many hills and valleys to a bridge that went out to an island to a huge mansion where this man lived. As they passed over the bridge, I realized that the mansion and the rest of the island were one of the most beautiful places I had ever seen. (He makes merchandise of the people, plundering them for his own selfish gain. His doctrine is conveniently prosperity oriented.) 

After the group went into the mansion, he motioned them into a large dining area where the table was filled with different kinds of hors d'oeuvres. The man told them to make themselves at home and then left the room. The people in the room were carrying on conversations and eating when all of a sudden they heard screaming and very strange sounds coming from outside the dining room. As the screaming started, I became aware of a particular woman in the room. (The false prophets have been known throughout history to take advantage of the ladies because their flesh rules them. But also, in a spiritual way, this could represent the woman church horrified at the true nature of this wolf in sheep's clothing.) 

Then, the doors to the dining room swung open and there we saw the well-to-do man standing in the doorway with an AK-47 in his hand. The man did not have his hair slicked back anymore; it was messed up and he had a very demonic look on his face. After observing the obvious change in his demeanor, I saw the doors on the other side of the dining room open and the man told the group, “START RUNNING!” (These egomaniacs have a hidden purpose: to kill the saints of God as the false prophet Sanhedrin of Jesus' day did. The saints will be running from them, spiritually and literally, very soon. They have the backing of the beast government to deceive and persecute the saints, as in Jesus' day.) 

I then realized that for a brief amount of time I had the point of view of the woman as she ran through the hallway. There were people getting shot behind where the woman and a man were running. There was a room that the two found and they ran into it. The man saw that there was an EXIT sign and a door that went outside. I noticed that the EXIT sign looked strange and I didn't have a good feeling about it. The man told the woman that they needed to go through the door but she told him that they shouldn't go out there. Instead, there was a little bit of a bench behind a dark gray curtain and they sat on the bench. (Every avenue of escape is not a true escape from the False Prophet and Beast. Some are a trap designed by them, like the mark of the Beast. “Resting” and being “hidden in Christ”, “seated with Him in heavenly places” behind the veil is the true escape.) 

A few minutes after the man and woman sat behind the curtain, there was a group of three boys who ran through (representing the immature church). They first slammed their backs up against the man and woman but somehow didn't realize that there were people behind the curtain. (I was reminded of this verse: Psa.91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.) Once they all took a deep breath, they ran through the EXIT straight outside. The boys ran over to the edge of the courtyard to find that there was nowhere to go because the bridge that they had traveled on had disappeared. As soon as they got to the edge of the courtyard, the ground started shifting and it revealed a muddy (dark brown or black), quicksand-like layer underneath where there were some decomposing bodies.  

There was one boy who was closer to the edge than the others and he fell straight down to his death as the ground shifted. (There are many ways that seem right to men but in the end it is the way of death. (Pro.14:12, 16:25) One-third of the immature church at this time falls away because of walking on shifting sands of false doctrines instead of the Word. This does not include the tares that were really never in the church of the called-out ones.) (When the sandy ground began to shift, the Lord reminded me of the house built on the rock versus the sand.  

Mat.7:24 Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock: 25 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and if fell not: for it was founded upon the rock. 26 And every one that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand: 27 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and smote upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall thereof.) 

The two other boys knew that they needed to find a way out, so they started running back toward the mansion to go a different direction. (Two-thirds repent, i.e., change direction.) As they started running toward the house, I saw that the look and feel to this island had changed. It was no longer lush and vibrant with color but it had become very dark and the mansion looked old and run-down. (Once God's people pass through this Babylonish house and change direction, they see it as it really is -- a corrupt and dying tomb full of dead men's bones.) 

When the boys had almost made it to where the house was, the door that the boys came out of swung open and the crazed man came outside. I noticed that he seemed to change even more since the last time I saw him in the dining room. His silk suit was no longer silk. It looked like it was made of wool and it was a lot larger than him, especially in his shoulders (as soon as I saw him I thought of a wolf with a thick overcoat). The tie was also a different shade of red -- dark maroon. (Once God's people pass through this Babylonish house, they perceive the wolf in sheep's clothing as really very small in comparison to the image he at first portrayed to the public. His maroon tie represents blood that has lost its oxygen or breath of the Spirit. The blood that is spent and returning to the heart rather than the red blood that comes from the heart.) 

At that point, I saw the point of view of one of the boys. I saw the boy in front get shot down immediately after the crazed man came outside. The other boy then tripped and the man quickly came and put the barrel of the gun against the base of his skull. It was kind of strange because I could almost feel the metal on the back of his skull, like it was mine, and then I heard a gunshot and then everything went black.

(The factious people have demonstrated this well to us. They are very slick when trying to impart to people their slander and witchcraft. They are full of fleshly lusts that drive them. Initially some escape them but their suspicious thoughts remain to tempt and tempt and when they give in they return to the one who infected them they spiritually die and never return to God. I use this as an example but the devil has many traps.) 

Then, I saw the man start going around the outside of his mansion and throughout the hallways, cleaning up the blood and disposing of the dead bodies. After he got done tidying up, he slicked his hair back and changed his clothes back into the silk suit to get ready to bring another group of people to his house. As I watched him present himself as the charming well-to-do man again, I was reminded of the wolves in sheep's clothing that Jesus talked about in Mat.7:15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. (I also began to think about the adjective that first came to mind when I saw him -- “charming” -- which automatically makes me think about witchcraft and manipulation. (things that are not of God.) 

I then went back to the man and woman who were still quietly hiding behind the curtain (resting in the secret place of the Most High). They heard the bridge coming back up and at that point they made a run for it. The crazed man realized that there were still two people on the property and ran outside to try and kill them but it was too late. The man and woman had already made it across the bridge and were out of sight. (They who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will escape.) (As I began to type this dream out, I thought that it was significant that only one man and one woman survived this attack and I thought about the woman and the Man-child. I was reminded of the passage in Revelation where the dragon wanted to devour the Man-child once he was delivered by the woman but, as in the time to come in the dream, the evil one did not prevail.) (The Man-child and those of the woman church who abide in the rest by faith will escape.) 

Just after we received the above dream we received this next dream: 

 

Jenn Reams - 01/29/2011 

I was with a group of about 100 people. We had been gathered by the government into a public building. We were there under the pretense of being helped, but I knew it was a trap and they were planning to kill us. But I knew no one would believe me. As I prayed for the boldness to warn them anyway, I began to warn them individually, starting with my husband and daughter. For some reason I can't remember their response. But I know it ended with me telling everyone at once that it was a trap and they were planning to kill us; we were on the red list.  

I know this is possibly because of the warnings and Bible studies I've been listening to and not necessarily a prophetic dream. However, it was a warning. And one question that come to my mind is, people know about the red list in reality, so why would I need to tell them? (Maybe because individuals don't know if they are on the red list.)

 

 

Mega-Churches & Strong Delusion 

Churches Deceived into Program 

Deborah Horton - 07/09/2005 (David's notes in red) 

In a dream, I saw mega-church after mega-church flashing by. The congregations were well-dressed and complacent. Then I saw not quite as many smaller churches flashing by. They had all been tricked into joining a “program” that was supposed to help them grow. In the dream, I knew it was every single mega-church but not as many of the smaller ones that were involved. None of the home groups would participate. (See Baiting the False Prophet & War in our One-Hour series.) 

This “program” progressively took greater and greater control of each church. At first, the people were very happy with their decision; however, when there was no longer any way for them to escape, they began to see the “program” for what it really was. By the time each group had been reduced to a handful of people, the controlling force stopped pretending to be helping them and revealed itself as an ugly, blood-thirsty monster. Amazing to me was that as the people were being systematically taken over, they looked more and more like the monster themselves. It was awful and I was horrified by how easily the people were tricked and how quickly they were degraded and killed.  

(In Eze.17:21 The Lord said He would ‘scatter toward every wind’ those who rebelled against Babylon. Rebelling here means to physically fight with them to not accept their cross. Eze 17:21 And all his fugitives in all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward every wind: and ye shall know that I, Jehovah, have spoken it. Those who don't take the mark of the beast will flee it but many of these will make war on the beast and lose. Others will have their eyes opened and will join to the Man-child and Two Witness ministries.) 

As I woke up, I realized that “program” was a play on the word, “pogrom”, which is defined as “An organized and often officially encouraged massacre or attack on a national, religious or ethnic minority. (Not necessarily a physical attack; sometimes it is a spiritual attack that brings spiritual death.) An organized massacre of the Jews In Czarist Russia. The Russian word for ‘devastation’”. 

 

 

Deception Coming to the O.W.O. Church 

Marion Carney - 02/29/2008 (David's notes in red) 

I dreamt I was at my grandmother's old apartment complex with a few others. I came up the elevator and walked down the hallway to her apartment door. I could see that the door was already slightly opened so I walked in. There wasn't anyone inside at first and I walked over to the patio windows. (The apartment complex represents joining house to house; the great unified corporate house of the harlot church in the U.S. Isa.5:8 Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no room, and ye be made to dwell alone in the midst of the land! 9 In mine ears [saith] Jehovah of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant. That no one was home – ‘without inhabitant’ -- speaks to the coming desolation of this corporate house.) 

I noticed it was getting very windy outside it was gray and raining just a bit. There was an old woman in the parking lot below me and she was caught in the wind; the wind was so strong that it pushed her over. As I watched the wind became stronger and stronger. She was really struggling to walk; the wind became so strong that it cracked the glass that I was looking out of. Just as it cracked the woman was picked up in the air by the wind and was being swept away. An old man then appeared and was trying to help the old woman but the wind was too strong for them both and they were lifted up in the air several feet off the ground. When they were lifted up the wind blew them around the side of the building, out of my view. I then backed away from the window because the other side of the glass was cracking.  

(The old woman represents the same thing as the apartment complex, the old apostate church, which is being blown by ever-increasing winds of false doctrines by their deceiving leaders, represented by the ‘old man’. Eph.4:14 that we may be no longer children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error... This house will be destroyed by the winds of the Beast and False Prophet doctrines. Mat.7:26 And every one that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand: 27 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and smote upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall thereof.) 

I turned around with the intent to go help the older people and when I did there were two men at a small table that resembled a small fold-out card table; it was placed directly in the middle of the room. On the table was a porcelain teapot and a teacup. The inside of this cup had writing inscribed all around it, kind of like a measuring cup would be. The man who had the teapot in his hand poured some to tea for the man who was sitting down. He filled the small cup up to one of the inscriptions and nodded for the man to drink it. The man drinking the tea didn't know that he was actually being deceived as the words that were inscribed in the cup were actually words of a ritual and every time the man filled the cup up to a different level the man was partaking in a ritual. (Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. Like the frog in the teapot, the heat was raised so gradually the frog didn’t notice he was being cooked.)  

I tried telling the man sitting down to not drink the tea, that he was being deceived; however, they could not hear me. The man served him two more times and the last cup was measured one line from being completely filled to the top. As the man drank from the cup the other man who was serving him smiled, and then I awoke. (Marion's ‘intent to go help the older people’ was interrupted by a revelation that deception is sent to them instead. Those leaders who do not listen to God's warnings will have even greater deception measured back to them from the beast than what they meted out to the apostate Church. Mar.4:23 If any man hath ears to hear, let him hear. 24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete it shall be measured unto you; and more shall be given unto you. 25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he hath.  

Those who walk in the steps of the Sanhedrin to crucify the body of Christ will have the Beast to measure it back to them. Mat.23:30 and say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we should not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. 31 Wherefore ye witness to yourselves, that ye are sons of them that slew the prophets. 32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. 33 Ye serpents, ye offspring of vipers, how shall ye escape the judgment of hell? 34 Therefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: some of them shall ye kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city: 35 that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth... Pray for the Pauls, the Nicodemuses, the Joseph of Arimathea’s to come forth out of them.) 

(These false prophets and those who follow them are being bribed by their lusts into strong delusion that will cost many their eternal life. 2 Th.2:8 And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of his mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of his coming; 9 [even he], whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie: 12 that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.) 

 

Dream - 03/02/2008

I dreamt a very short dream where I was with a handful of others who were preparing for two major earthquakes. I knew that we would survive the first earthquake; however, I knew that the second earthquake was going to be more destructive. I was looking down at the ground, trying to determine where the earthquake would take place and I was really calculating where it was to take place. I showed the others and told them to prepare for the second earthquake and that it was going to be a bad one.  

(We are expecting earthquakes when the Man-child reformers are spiritually resurrected and anointed. Jesus died with an earthquake and was resurrected at a “great earthquake”.

(An earthquake is a rending or separating of the earth, representing division between peoples of the earth. Such a division is happening between the Alliance and the DS. Because of this the second, more destructive division will be a civil war in the nation of America. Some clues here:

There was a pretty big house over to the left of me that was on little poles. It looked like one of those homes that are on a lake or beach. However, under this home there was a lot of dirt. (It will be known that this DS house is founded on a lot of dirt, meaning corruption.) I was standing outside the house determining where a safe area would be for us. The others were preparing for the earthquake inside the house. I explained to them that for an earthquake you come out of the house and explained how the house could fall on them. However, they were looking for items to take cover in like a tub or the basement, as if they were preparing for a tornado rather than an earthquake. I was desperately trying to get them out of the house but they would not listen.  

The dream ended with me speaking with a man who was sitting on some bricks in the area where I was pinpointing the first earthquake would be. (This ‘pretty big house’ on poles that is not founded on the rock of the Word and could fall on the people in this division is the corrupt in Church and government.

Mat.7:26 And every one that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand: 27 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and smote upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall thereof. The way to escape this house falling on you is to GET OUT OF THE HOUSE. The man sitting on the pile of bricks represents the total fall of this house. 

Rev.18:2 And he cried with a mighty voice, saying, Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, and is become a habitation of demons, and a hold of every unclean spirit, and a hold of every unclean and hateful bird. ... 4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come forth, my people, out of her, that ye have no fellowship with her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Dream 2/08

There was a singular corporate apartment complex standing alone. It was a very expensive, very large building like one you would see in Las Vegas. It was glistening as if it were made of a shiny tin material. (Again we see the apostate church are in agreement, house to house, in a great gamble which will not pay off for them. The DS has unified against the right wing wishing to wipe them out.) 

The building was within a few feet of a lake like one of the Great Lakes such as Lake Erie. (Abraham's seed in America is as the sands on the seashore for multitude. Gen.22:17 ...I will multiply thy seed ...as the sand which is upon the seashore. The apartment building is the harlot of Babylon church and government. Rev.17:1 ...I will show thee the judgment of the great harlot that sitteth upon many waters. The many waters represent the peoples of the world. 15 ...The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 

My eldest son, Scott was standing outside of the building, telling me how it was a great location by the water with a great view of the lake. I took notice of this but I was more concerned with wanting to go in and look around. Scott was needing to make a decision about the building and I kept telling him to look around, that there were other homes with a view of a lake. (Many will have to decide whether to be a part of this Harlot church and government.) I don't know how I got inside the building because it was quite a ways away from us at first; however, there I was standing in the hallway. I then began walking through the hallway, looking for people. I was opening and closing doors because I was looking for someone. At one point I was looking for a young girl but I don't know who she was. (Marion failed to find her fruit, her spiritual man, the child born to her, in the harlot church and government as so many will.) 

Somehow the dream switched from me being on the inside to being on the outside of the building. At this point I could see the waves of the lake were getting more and more intense. I don't remember going to any high ground but I was now viewing the apartment complex as if I were standing on a hill a ways from it. The water was rougher than when I first saw it and was now really scary looking. (When we dealt with the factious slander and witchcraft spirits in Church we then began to see the same spirits in the leftist government. The judgment of God will continue to rise against these factions.) The waves started to form faster and faster and as I looked on one of the waves started to form so high in the sky that I had a sick feeling come over me. I watched in fear as the wave grew and went kind of in slow motion and slammed into the building with a fury. The impact was so scary to me that I actually awoke at this point, shaken by the power of that wave. (As in all past history, the judgment of God will destroy Beast and Harlot.) 

 

Dream - 03/13/2008

I was walking with a small group of people on the street I grew up on but the street was much wider in some areas than it actually is. Across the street from me were some people leaving my old church. They crossed the street and began walking with me and some others. In this small group there was a man who was very tall with blondish-brown hair. He kept trying to speak with me and give me compliments, despite his wife walking with us. I wouldn't acknowledge him because I knew he was married but that didn't defer him as he kept trying to flirt with me. I purposely kept a good distance from him as we all walked across an open area in the street. (Apostate Saul leaders from the old church and government are living after their lusts. 1Sam.9:2 ...Saul, a young man and a goodly: and there was not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward he was higher than any of the people. The worldly look on the outward appearance but God looketh on the heart. 2 Pet.2:14 having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; enticing unstedfast souls; having a heart exercised in covetousness; children of cursing. ... 18 For, uttering great swelling [words] of vanity, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by lasciviousness, those who are just escaping from them that live in error.) 

As we continued to walk around, we again passed by my church and some of the others wanted to go inside to see what they were teaching. I stayed outside on the sidewalk with another and when they came back out one woman said to us, “They aren't teaching what they should be in there” (The apostates will not be able to preach Christ and the Word or risk offending each other.) As she shook her head she seemed really annoyed with what she heard inside the church. My old church didn't look like it normally does. There was a section of it where you could walk right through it like it was hollow. (No substance of truth in church or government.) We continued walking as two of the women discussed what they heard in the church and the same woman was still upset. I started to depart from the others when one of the women spoke out to me, saying, “Be sure to read the passages about Martha and languages in the bible”. I responded nonchalantly, “Ok, I will”, and I walked away. At this point I awoke to my alarm clock.  

(Martha represents a large portion of Christianity in that she was known for anxiety and busy works while her sister, Mary, sat at the feet of Jesus and learned of Him. Jesus said that this was the important thing to do in Luk 10:40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving; and she came up to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister did leave me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. 41 But the Lord answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things: 42 but one thing is needful: for Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her. 

The word about languages is a warning that God destroyed man's attempt to make a one-world religion and government at Babel by confusing their languages and He is going to do it again to modern Babel, which means “confusion”. Gen.11:7 Come, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8 So Jehovah scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off building the city. 9 Therefore was the name of it called Babel; because Jehovah did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did Jehovah scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.)  

 

False Prophets Promote the Beast

I had a very interesting dream; it is very profound to me and I know it's from God. In the dream, my wife and three daughters were sick and in a hospital. (The Church is where healing is supposed to be dispensed.) The doctors and nurses (ministers) were saying they needed more sugar. So then they were led to a floor below us (loss of stature or maturity). I noticed that they were giving them sweets such as donuts, candy and things like that. (Preachers and politicians are great at this.) The strange thing was they were giving it to them through a garbage shoot. (Garbage and bribery is found in both factions.) Sweets taste good to the flesh but will not do any good for the spiritual man. The world’s methods for healing or salvation will not contribute any good to the body of Christ.  

Being led downstairs brings Colossians 2:20-3:2 to mind. Col 2:20 If ye died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, do ye subject yourselves to ordinances, 21 Handle not, nor taste, nor touch 22 (all which things are to perish with the using), after the precepts and doctrines of men? 23 Which things have indeed a show of wisdom in will-worship, and humility, and severity to the body; but are not of any value against the indulgence of the flesh. 3:1 If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth. 

The garbage shoot show that what they were receiving was weak and beggarly rudiments or principles of the world as it says in Gal 4:9 but now that ye have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how turn ye back again to the weak and beggarly rudiments, whereunto ye desire to be in bondage over again?

When seeing this, I noticed that my wife and three daughters had come up stairs to see our new son (in reality, my son is already nine months old). (They were brought up out of bondage to heavenly places when they came up to see the man-child of Rev.12.) When they arrived, I met them and we began to look around the maternity ward and I noticed all the babies were inside incubators that were full of sugary, powdery substances that covered the babies. These looked very underdeveloped, dark and unhealthy. (The babies in the incubators were premature; they could not grow into the man-child; they were full of the powdery, sugary substance which will kill them spiritually.) 

Then we went to see my son, whose name is Luke, and he was huge. He was sitting up on his own outside of the incubator, perfectly healthy, and when I looked closer I saw that he was completely covered in blood and there were no wounds or harm to him. (The man-child was covered in the blood; he was fully mature and did not need an incubator to breathe. In fact, he could sit up on his own because he was covered in the blood and cleansed from all the things that the other babies were dying in.) 

Then the whole hospital and staff turned on the TVs and there was this big announcement being made by Donald Rumsfeld or some other politician, saying that they had created something great and wonderful. (When looking on Wikipedia, I learned that Donald means “ruler of the world”. WOW. (The immature church and false ministers feed the people the doctrine of the beast kingdom.) The great thing I saw was a spirit. Heb 1:7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels winds [Greek: spirits], And his ministers a flame a fire. This is exactly what I saw, except for in this case it was a body of fallen angels or spirits. (The corporate spirit of the Beast from the pit inhabits the world beast body of both secular and religious people.) 

Everyone seemed to be glued to the TV, watching this creation of some sort being introduced. So as they watched, I was taken to the clouds and saw this “great thing” that they were speaking of and it was a gigantic pillar of fire with a fiery flame on top, flying up from the earth and passing the clouds into the atmosphere, but it fell down to the earth. (The fake pillar of fire was to lead the people through the dark wilderness tribulation.)

Then I was taken to the earth where I saw its form from another perspective. I saw this pillar of fire, which seemed to be full of winds that kept its flame burning. It was stretched from the ground all the way to the sky. Then I saw what was on top of it and, to my surprise, it was the same image that is on The Beast Is Everywhere article on the UBM website, except the circle in the middle of the two horns was like the all-seeing eye on the back of the dollar bill. (The world and the worldly Christians will worship the golden calf, the false Jesus of Ra, at the command of the false prophets -- the two horns of Rev.13.) 

Then, after seeing this, I was back in the hospital with my brother beside me, who saw the same image as I did but no one else did. I urgently told him three times, “That's Ra”.(The ancient Egyptian sun god; the false Son of God or Antichrist Beast. Warning others of a false image of deity for three years.) Then, as the people were watching the news of this “great thing”, I began to warn them and tell them that this is the seven-headed, 10-horned beast. 

The people in the hospital began to listen to me. (Those who were coming out of the institutional church.) I noticed my wife was shaking her head, telling me not to speak about it anymore to them; even though I felt led to keep talking, I stopped. (The worldly mother church will not want the truth to be proclaimed to their people.) 

Then I woke up from the dream. When I woke up and told my wife the dream, she apologized for what she did in the dream.

 

 

Deceived By a False Jesus 

B.A. - 09/09/2011 (David's notes in red) 

I dreamed that I was walking down the street and I saw some people going up to people on the street and asking them if they would like to be in the audience of a new game show. I kept watching as these people were drawing a large crowd by telling people they could win a house, car, boat, trips, money, etc. (This represents prosperity, love of the world, personal gain, bribery by the flesh, Christianity.) When they got all the people they needed to fill the audience, they took them all inside the darkly lit building. They gave each person a sheet of paper with a number on it and had them all sit down. I saw an elderly man complaining as they handed him his paper. He told them he did not want to be in the audience, that he was brought into the building by force. They made him take the paper anyway and two men took him to his seat and told him to sit down. (The New World Order and its religion will take authority over all. The more mature Christians do not enjoy playing the worldly games with the apostates.) 

Then, the game show host came on stage and called out three numbers to select three contestants. A young man was selected, then a middle-aged man, then the older man who didn't want to be there. (Notice these ranged from the less mature to the more mature) The three contestants were taken into a small room and told to wait there. The first contestant was brought out and given a card with three questions on it. (Notice that those in control supplied the questions. They didn't want to trip up their fake Jesus’.) Across from the contestant were three men. The object of the game was for the contestant to guess the REAL JESUS from among these three.  

The contestant had one question he was to ask each Jesus. The contestant asked his question to each of the three Jesus’, then the game show host told him it was time to select the real Jesus. The contestant chose Jesus number one. Jesus number one jumped up and said, “You are right”. Then the game show host told the contestant that he had won a new house. There was a lot of applause and music and celebration. (Everyone has a different Jesus that they chose for the sake of fleshly advantage, usually so they can continue in pet sins. This worldly Jesus always gets the applause of the worldly.) Contestant number one was led off the stage into the “winners' room” (I noticed this room was painted red on the inside) and told he had to wait there until the show was over. 

Contestant number two was brought out and again he was given a card with three questions. He asked his three questions to each of the three Jesus’. He chose Jesus number two. Jesus number two jumped up and exclaimed, “You are right!” The game show host then told the contestant that he had won a beautiful, new shiny car. Again, there was much applause, music and celebration. Then, contestant number two was led to the winners' room and told to stay there until the game was over. (In other words, whoever you chose is the true Jesus to you. This worldly contest put on by the forces of darkness represents the test to see who will follow antichrist, which is any other false Christ. “Anti” not only means “against”, it means “in the place of”.) 

Then, contestant number three was led onto the stage and given his card. I noticed the contestant look at the questions first and then he looked up at each one of the three Jesus’. He had a look of distaste on his face and I could sense hesitation to even ask these men the three questions. (The mature who respect the Word have come to recognize the real Jesus.) The game show host told him he was holding up the show and needed to ask the questions, so he did. When he finished asking the questions, the game show host asked him to pick the real Jesus. The old man sat there a minute, then he pointed to Jesus number one and said, “You can't be the real Jesus because you are dressed in OFF-WHITE and the real Jesus would not be dressed in off-white. Our Lord's garment is bright and shining”. (The real Jesus believes and acts on true holiness. He does not wink at sin.)  

He then pointed to Jesus number two who was dressed in all black. The old man said, “You can't be the real Jesus because the REAL Jesus has no darkness in him”. (And neither does a real disciple who recognizes darkness when he sees it.) He then pointed to Jesus number three who was dressed in off-white and black. He said, “You can't be the real Jesus because your garments are spotted. The real Jesus is spotless and without blemish”. (Biblical discernment will save some from idolatry and destruction. The wise and mature recognize and are hating even the garment spotted by the flesh Jud.23.) 

The old man then turned and faced the TV camera and began to tell the people who were watching by television not to be deceived by these false Christs. (“The righteous are as bold as a lion”.) The game show host ran over to the TV camera and tried to unplug it. When he got about a foot away, a bolt of lightning shot across the room and hit him and rolled him off the stage. Two men then came up and tried to take the old man off the stage. Again, lightning shot across the stage and hit those two men and threw them to the back of the room. The old man then focused on the audience; he told them to get out of the building quickly, lest any more of them get caught up in this evil deception. (Get out of the buildings of those who have an “anything goes” Jesus. The mature Christians will get the Word of this deception out, despite attempts by the Harlot and Beast to stop them. God's power will see to it.) 

The two men who had been hit by lightning ran over to the winners’ room to get the two winners. They led them to a door that read “ONE WAY” in big black letters with a red arrow pointing down (to hell) and told them they had to go through that door to get their rewards. (There is one way for the righteous and the wicked. Those who deny Jesus for fleshly rewards will get the rewards of the flesh.) The winners opened the door (I noticed the winners opened the door and not those two men) and stepped into a large foyer. (No one can send you to hell for following antichrist but you.) They could hear laughter and music and were excited to claim their prizes. All of a sudden, the laughter and music stopped and the lights were turned off. The room filled with a sulfur-like stench and they had trouble trying to breathe the air. They tried to run back to the door to get out, but the door had disappeared; then, all of a sudden, the floor parted in the middle and they started falling down. Then I awoke from the dream. (Pro.14:12) There is a way which seemeth right unto a man; But the end thereof are the ways of death. 

My thoughts: Unless we are filled with God's word and stay true to HIS word, we can be easily deceived and end up like contestants number one and two. We can be easily led away by false men and false doctrine. (Or have in our heart a false Jesus.) I know this for a fact, as it happened to me. I got caught up in the First Assembly of God and the “false revival movement” teaching there; then the Messianic Judaism false doctrine. I was so busy filling my days with idols that I didn't have enough of the Word in me to protect me from my enemies. Only by the grace of God was I led away from these things. This dream made me more determined than ever to study God's word and to pray for understanding, wisdom and knowledge and to pray for discernment. 

I can't stress enough how important it is for us to get God's Word deep into our hearts. There's so much deception out there and we MUST prepare ourselves.

The Ignorance of Apostasy

I was visiting the old church I went to when I lived in Texas. The church building was a lot larger than I remember. On this day, the church was having a large conference of some kind and all the age groups were broken up. I decided that morning I wanted to help with the children's activities and everything that had to do with the children. 

After I began helping with the children, I noticed that there was a group in the auditorium that was kind of in their own section, not surrounded by any other group of children. I thought that was a little strange. I asked a few of the other volunteers/friends and they very quietly, in almost a whisper, told me “that those children had HIV and no one really knows about them other than the church staff and those who volunteer with the children; most of the other children don't even know. Those who have found out have left the church”. (The children here represent the people in the church who are spiritually immature. 1Co 14:20 Brethren, be not children in mind: yet in malice be ye babes, but in mind be men (Greek: of full age). In the natural HIV is Human Immunodeficiency Virus, which weakens the body's immune system until it can no longer fight off its enemies. This leads to AIDS, which is Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, and death shortly thereafter. The interpretation is one who is spiritually immature cannot fight off their enemies of sin and its curse and is ultimately conquered and spiritually dies even though they still occupy a pew. Those who find out that their church is in this state generally leave as the ones who left shows.) 

When she told me this I was alarmed that no one truly cared to help these children and had been keeping this very serious matter a secret to most of the congregation. Nonetheless, I continued working with the children. (Most of the spiritually immature do not know that there is spiritual HIV in their own congregations.) 

At the end of the conference, all of the families left and then all of the church staff and volunteers began to leave. When I started walking out, I saw my father and a few of my friends. I ran up to them and asked, “Did you know that there is a large group of children who have HIV in this church?” 

They all agreed that they in fact knew that there were children with that ailment and didn't seem to care. (This spiritual state is so common that it is not looked on as the great danger that it is.) Then I asked them, “How did the children get HIV? Why haven't you guys left the church like the others?” (Physically, The DS created HIV so it comes from the Beast. In the natural, children generally get HIV from their mother at birth and the mother gets it from the father. The fathers are the spiritual leaders of the church. Paul said, “You have not many fathers, I begat you through the gospel.” So spiritually, the fathers, or pastors, are the ones who sow the diseased seed from their beastly nature, which destroys the immune system of the church who is the mother of the individual members. The seed that is sown in most of the church makes perpetual children out of its members, who have no real defense against the principalities and powers who administer the curse. “Come out from among them and be ye separate”.) 

My dad told me, “I'm not really sure how the children got HIV but I do know the church leaders know. Maybe you should ask them. (The pastors know how the children got in this weak state because they sowed the seed of powerless dead religion in them.) I haven't left the church because this is my church and I'm not leaving just because there is a disease here”. (Those who will not leave when they see this state in the church don't because they are in gross idolatry with their dead religion.) 

I couldn't understand how and why the church was so secretive about this issue that they had in their church. I thought all of the people who had stayed, including my father and friends, were extremely ignorant. I knew that I would not stand for a church that covered up something. I left the parking lot of that church very disturbed at how much it had changed and knew I was never going back. (Amen!) 

As soon as I woke up the Lord revealed to me what this dream meant: 

He was showing me how prevalent the apostate church is in America. The children with HIV represent a disease in the church that the church members and leaders knowingly ignore. Instead of coming out of the church many stay knowing it is not what the Lord desires for them. Shouldn't those children be healed of their ailment since by His stripes they were healed? (But generally the ignorant don’t know this or the power of God to save from sin and its curse of death.)

I believe this is a warning to those who the Lord has revealed the apostate church to but have ignored His revelation and continued to walk in their ignorance. 

Since my earthly father was in this group of people, I knew the Lord was confirming to me that He was in fact talking about the ignorant children who have seen the apostasy but didn't turn back to Him. For many years, my father has ignored many of the revelations that the Lord has given me that I have shared with him and has decided to ignore them. 

The Lord's children need to turn back to Him if they have seen the apostasy and have ignored it. If He has not yet revealed the apostasy to them, let this be a testament to His love for them to show them what is going on in our churches and come back to Him. 

(Hos.4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I also will forget thy children. 7 As they were multiplied, so they sinned against me: I will change their glory into shame. 8 They feed on the sin of my people, and set their heart on their iniquity. 9 And it shall be, like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and will requite them their doings. 10 And they shall eat, and not have enough; they shall play the harlot, and shall not increase; because they have left off taking heed to Jehovah. 11 Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the understanding. 12 My people ask counsel at their stock, and their staff declareth unto them; for the spirit of whoredom hath caused them to err, and they have played the harlot, [departing] from under their God.) 

 

 

The Fall of Babylonian Religion

Our Father is raising up a Beast kingdom as a demolition crew to tear down or burn down all the wood, hay and stubble built on the foundation of Christ. You can be sure that everything built on the shifting sands of this world will go too, for everything that can be shaken will be.  

In a vision, I was standing on a mountain and looking down the mountainside. I saw a construction crew coming up the mountainside putting up the big metal power poles for high voltage power lines. Then I looked down beside me on the ground and noticed a very old, emaciated cow lying there. It looked as though it was about to die. Next to it was a very large baby boy that I knew had been born from that cow. Next, I saw a front-end loader come and scoop up the cow and carry it away. I picked up the baby and walked over and got on an escalator. As we were going up, I noticed a woman next to me with a normal-sized baby. Looking at my baby, she said, “That looks like a real baby boy”. Watching the front-end loader carry away the cow, I said, “Yeah, I wonder how that's possible”.  It’s possible because a remnant people in this trap of dead religion which has not power from God to save, heal and deliver realize this and are birthed from the old cow which doesn’t even feed good milk.

Then the scene changed, and I was walking into a ministers' conference. All the famous religious leaders of the U.S. were there. A famous minister who everyone knows and who I felt represented a generation of ministers, walked over and handed me some papers. Then the Lord said to me, “This is his propaganda about what he has accomplished”. (If we have accomplished anything, it is by God's power, will, and grace for “a man can receive nothing except it come from heaven”.) God gave me the interpretation in my spirit. The power lines are the power of God coming to faithful Christians in the Kingdom, symbolized by the mountain. The power will not come until the old cow, the Babylonish religious systems of men, are moved out of the way just as new wine cannot be put in old wineskins. I was told that the old cow was the golden calf, now come to full age and passing away.  

We read in Exo 32:4 And he received it at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, and made it a molten calf: and they said, These are thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. They were speaking of the golden calf, they said in Hebrew, “This is thy God”. God here in the literal is Elohim just as it is in verse 11 And Moses besought Jehovah his God, and said, Jehovah, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, that thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?  

And it says in verse 5 And when Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To-morrow shall be a feast to Jehovah. Lord here in the literal is YHWH, the name of our God. In other words, they were calling the golden calf Elohim and YHWH. They were giving God's name to a false god. If you have been sold on a Jesus that looks different from the Jesus of the Bible, guess what, you are worshiping the golden calf, the old cow. The old cow is “another Jesus” as Paul called it in 2Co 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or [if] ye receive a different spirit, which ye did not receive, or a different gospel, which ye did not accept, ye do well to bear with [him]. 

He was the Egyptian Baal; the false virgin birthed son of God from Babel. You will take on the image of the Jesus you follow. Hence, the old cow represents those who have taken on the image of a false Jesus. As this old cow is being moved out of the Kingdom the greater works will be manifest through the true disciples of Christ. We want only the true image of Jesus as it says in 2Co 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit. 

The greatest beast army the world has ever known is about to come against what is thought to be the Kingdom of God. They are the construction crew that will move the Babylonish cow out of the way. A remnant baby will come out of this cow and come to maturity which is Zion. Jer 50:3-12 For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they are fled, they are gone, both man and beast. 4 In those days, and in that time, saith Jehovah, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together; they shall go on their way weeping, and shall seek Jehovah their God. 5 They shall inquire concerning Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come ye, and join yourselves to Jehovah in an everlasting covenant that shall not be forgotten.  (The apostates have forgotten that those who add to or take away from the word are under the curses of the Bible as the last verses of the Bible warn.)

6 My people have been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray; they have turned them away on the mountains; they have gone from mountain to hill; they have forgotten their resting-place. 7 All that found them have devoured them; and their adversaries said, We are not guilty, because they have sinned against Jehovah, the habitation of righteousness, even Jehovah, the hope of their fathers. 8 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he-goats before the flocks.  

9 For, lo, I will stir up and cause to come up against Babylon a company of great nations from the north country; and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of an expert mighty man; none shall return in vain. (This is happening now to political and spiritual Babylon.) 10 And Chaldea (Babylon) shall be a prey: all that prey upon her shall be satisfied, saith Jehovah. 11 Because ye are glad, because ye rejoice, O ye that plunder my heritage, because ye are wanton as a heifer that treadeth out the grain, and neigh as strong horses; 12 your mother (Babylon) shall be utterly put to shame; she that bare you shall be confounded: behold, she shall be the hindermost of the nations, a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.  

The escalator represents the rest, the ceasing from our own works, which is like climbing steps, which we’re told in Heb 4:10-11 For he that is entered into his rest hath himself also rested from his works, as God did from his. (The rest is the escalator.) 11 Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, that no man fall after the same example of disobedience. We do this through faith in the promises as it says in Heb 4:1-3 Let us fear therefore, lest haply, a promise being left of entering into his rest, any one of you should seem to have come short of it.

2 For indeed we have had good tidings preached unto us, even as also they: but the word of hearing did not profit them, because it was not united by faith with them that heard. 3 For we who have believed do enter into that rest; even as he hath said, As I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.  

You do not walk upon an escalator; you just rest. God's land of rest is standing on the promises as God told Joshua in Jos 1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, to you have I given it, as I spake unto Moses.  And Jesus taught us in Mar 11:24 (NENT) Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye received them, and ye shall have them. If you believe that you have received, you will cease from your struggles, self-works, and anxiety to bring it to pass. And we’re told in 1Jn 5:14-15 And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: 15 and if we know that he heareth us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him. For we who have believed do enter into that rest… in ceasing from our works, because the works are already accomplished by God in Heb.4:3.  

For instance, if we ask God to deliver us from some sin or sickness (1Pe 2:24 who his own self bare our sins in his body upon the tree, that we, having died unto sins, might live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.) or some other curse (Gal 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us; for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:), we must believe we have received since these promises are all past tense. (Notice it says “bare our sins”, and “were healed”, and “redeemed us from the curse”)  

In Eph 2:8 in the original Greek it says, for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. If you have been saved, then you are saved. The word saved here is the Greek word, sozo and is translated “made thee whole” in some other scriptures including Luk 8:48 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace. Obviously, being healed is part of being saved from the curse of sin.  

The word “saved” also means saved in circumstances in Mat 8:25 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Save, Lord; we perish. And it means deliverance in Luk 8:36 And they that saw it told them how he that was possessed with demons was made whole. So, “saved” covers deliverance from sin and its curses; and remember, you have been saved at the cross where Jesus said in Joh 19:30 …, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit. He also said in Joh 16:33 These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. 

By this rest, the baby will come nearer and nearer to God (like going up the escalator) and be protected and provided for in the days to come by the awesome promises we claim in:  Psa 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust. 3 For he will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover thee with his pinions, And under his wings shalt thou take refuge: His truth is a shield and a buckler.  

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, Nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, Nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; But it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, And see the reward of the wicked.  

9 For thou, O Jehovah, art my refuge! Thou hast made the Most High thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent. 11 For he will give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, Lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the serpent shalt thou trample under foot.  

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble: I will deliver him, and honor him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, And show him my salvation. 

Psa 125:1 They that trust in Jehovah Are as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth forever. 2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, So Jehovah is round about his people From this time forth and for evermore. 3 For the sceptre of wickedness shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; That the righteous put not forth their hands unto iniquity. 4 Do good, O Jehovah, unto those that are good, And to them that are upright in their hearts. 5 But as for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways (Like dead religion), Jehovah will lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel. 

The cow does not even believe in the protection and blessing of the secret place of the Most High, which we just read in Psalm 91. The cow eats grass, which Peter said was flesh in 1Pe 1:24 For, All flesh is as grass, And all the glory thereof as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower falleth.. And this represents a fleshly understanding of the Word. The cow only feeds milk, and we’re told in Heb 5:13 For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word of righteousness; for he is a babe. (We are back to the immature) 14 But solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil. So they are still “babes” without experience of the Word of righteousness and it represents being without spiritual senses. Born-again people have born-again senses to know and understand good and evil. As spiritual men, we must have spiritual senses. Our carnal senses trap and rule over us and our land when we live according to what we see, hear and feel as the old man and the world does.  

God showed me concerning the ministers' conference that they were the bulls of Basham who had been sowing their seed in the cow. Psalms 22:12,13 is a prophecy of the religious leadership (bulls) in Jesus' day who hindered Him. Psa 22:12 Many bulls have compassed me; Strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. 13 They gape upon me with their mouth, As a ravening and a roaring lion. 

And in verse 1,16,18 are those who opposed His leadership. Psa 22:1 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? Psa 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: A company of evil-doers have enclosed me; They pierced my hands and my feet. 18 They part my garments among them, And upon my vesture do they cast lots. 

The disciples were the new church leadership. The true disciples are going to be given a new leadership like those who followed Jesus out of Babylonish Judaism. Isa 1:26 and I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called The city of righteousness, a faithful town. 

God gave the Old Covenant but at the time of Jesus they had corrupted it into a respect for men and traditions instead of the word. Christianity has repeated this history. Jesus came to make disciples (Greek: methetes -which means learners and followers) of the Word and lead them out. True disciples will hear no other voice but His as it says in Joh 10:3-5 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4 When he hath put forth all his own, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. 

You might say, “I would like to bring healing to this old corrupt religious cow”. Have you read Jeremiah 51:9? It says, We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country; for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies. Forsake her, brothers and sisters, and dwell in the promised land; meaning, live on His promises. And receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken as Paul writes in Heb 12:28-29 Wherefore, receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace, whereby we may offer service well-pleasing to God with reverence and awe: 29 for our God is a consuming fire. 

We are commanded to “Come out from among them and be ye separate.” 2Co 6:14-18 Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers: for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? or what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what portion hath a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement hath a temple of God with idols? for we are a temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore Come ye out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, And touch no unclean thing; And I will receive you, 18 And will be to you a Father, And ye shall be to me sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 

Rev 18:4-5 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come forth, my people, out of her, that ye have no fellowship with her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues: 5 for her sins have reached even unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Isa 52:11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; cleanse yourselves, ye that bear the vessels of Jehovah. 

Jer 51:6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and save every man his life; be not cut off in her iniquity: for it is the time of Jehovah's vengeance; he will render unto her a recompense. 45 My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and save yourselves every man from the fierce anger of Jehovah.

Leaven, Truth and the Bride 

In the Church of my youth, I always felt the Spirit and joy in worship and fellowship, which was good and God did not condemn us for that. All denominations have a piece of the Lord; they just reject one another's piece. That is what makes them a denomination or sect or division; all of which Galatians calls, a work of the flesh. But the doctrine of my Church was leavened, just as in all Churches that don't teach and act on the pure Word. As it was then with me, you will need to outgrow all that to be birthed to the next level. This is the way to the Bride. She sits on the highest level of heavenly Jerusalem and includes the man-child in her body. Those who don't outgrow sects to be “one” with the holy elect, as the Shulamite (Hebrew: meaning, perfect) Bride was called in Song of Solomon, will never be in the Bride and instead will be relegated to the queens, concubines and virgins. 

Son 6:8 There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, And virgins without number. 9 My dove, my undefiled, is [but] one; She is the only one of her mother; She is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and called her blessed; [Yea], the queens and the concubines, and they praised her. 

The Bride will be taken into the house of the King on spiritual Mt. Zion. The queens, concubines and virgins will cry to look again at that which was pleasing to the Lord, which before they had not fully desired to be. 13 Return, return, O Shulammite; Return, return, that we may look upon thee. Why will ye look upon the Shulammite, As upon the dance of Mahanaim? 

The thing that causes us to outgrow the immature churches is a respect for the Word above all else, including the idolatry that Christians have with these false institutions. The Word has to be respected above even dreams and visions which the religious spirits are well able to perform with God's permission so that we may be tried. 

Our protection from this deception is always a love for truth and hatred for the leaven of lies. 2Th 2:9 [even he], whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie: 12 that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 

The constant feeding on lies and false spirits must be departed from before the seven years or one will miss the Bride who is chosen before the seven day/year marriage feast. Exo 12:15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. 

When there is idolatry with the institutions of men, which holds fellowship and submission to them higher than fellowship and submission to the Word and the more righteous, we open ourselves up to deception that comes from the Lord Himself. The denominations of Israel were deceived in this way and the Church has followed the pattern. 

Eze 14:1 Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me. 2 And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, 3 Son of man, these men have taken their idols into their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them? 4 Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Every man of the house of Israel that taketh his idols into his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I Jehovah will answer him therein according to the multitude of his idols; 5 that I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols. 

6 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Return ye, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations. 7 For every one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that separateth himself from me, and taketh his idols into his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet to inquire for himself of me; I Jehovah will answer him by myself: 8 and I will set my face against that man, and will make him an astonishment, for a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah. 9 And if the prophet be deceived and speak a word, I, Jehovah, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel. 

With the scriptures above I only scratch the surface of the problem but I have great hopes for you to outgrow religion and “follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth”. (Rev 14:4)

God’s Plan And Purpose For Evil (1)

Many of God’s people are having a problem forgiving their enemies in these days when we have seen so much evil. It is God’s place to judge and recompense evil. Have you not read? Rom 9:21 Or hath not the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor? We’ve all been sinners from the same lump of clay But we got unmerited favor and they did not. The old saying is true: “There but for the grace of God go I.” So we got grace but they got justice. We must forgive to be forgiven. God is sovereign over all things; even those He draws unto Himself.

Some think this not so, but let’s see. Let’s begin with a little foundation of God’s sovereignty. We are shown in Rom.8:28 And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, [even] to them that are called according to [his] purpose. 

Do we really believe that “all things” work together to bring to pass the good purpose of God for His called? Our reactions to life’s circumstances are a good gauge of this. Knowing God’s purpose in all things gives great peace. What purpose is Paul speaking of in the above verse? In the next verse we can see that he is talking about the purpose of bringing many sons into the image of Jesus Christ. (Rom.8:29) For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. God foreordained or pre-determined to bring His true children into the image of Jesus. This has been God’s purpose since the creation of the world, even before man was created and fell.  

All things serve God in order to manifest His sons. That is why God created this world. Some people who do not understand may see failure in God’s plan. But when we study the sovereignty of God, we see there is no failure in God’s system. Sovereignty means to exercise supreme and independent authority. Even sin, evil, and the fall will serve God’s purpose. He is going to have sons to fellowship with throughout eternity. Toward this purpose, He is going to make all things work together for good. All things are not good, but all things work together for good. As I have said many times, “What does ‘all’ leave out?” Applying this truth to our life takes thought. 

God must be omnipotent (all-powerful) over all things to make this statement. He must also be omniscient (all-knowing) in order to make such all-encompassing statements in His Word. The Scriptures proclaim that God has sovereign control over all things that have anything to do with your life. He never falls off the throne and He never shares the throne with the devil. The authority that the devil has is according to God’s design and laws. Everything serves God in the ongoing creation of sons and daughters. (Psa.119:91) They abide this day according to thine ordinances; For all things are thy servants. All things serve Him in this process, good and bad, to bring to pass His plan.  

God never created anything that could thwart His plan, because God never makes mistakes. God even makes the evil to bring to pass His plan. Some will argue with that. Hopefully, you will change your mind as we examine the Scriptures. Evil is a tool of God’s sovereignty to bring us to purity and maturity. Without the evil, there is no one to put us on the cross, to persecute us, and to cause temptations to rise up so that we might reject them and be cleansed. God has made everything, even the wicked for the day when His people will need chastening. (Pro.16:4) The Lord hath made everything for its own end (Some manuscripts say: for His own purpose.); Yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.  

The apostle Paul learned contentment. He understood that none could thwart God’s good plan for him. Anxiety, fear, or impatience only comes because of our own nearsighted, immature understanding of God’s master plan for us. You can imagine how valuable a great apostle and evangelist such as Paul was to the saints in his day. But, in this case, Paul was put in prison. (Php.1:12) Now I would have you know, brethren, that the things [which happened] unto me have fallen out rather unto the progress of the Gospel; (13) so that my bonds became manifest in Christ throughout the whole praetorian guard, and to all the rest; (14) and that most of the brethren in the Lord, being confident through my bonds, are more abundantly bold to speak the Word of God without fear.  

Paul had an understanding that the devil was not the author of his imprisonment because of its value to God’s kingdom. Everything is going to work together for the good, individually and corporately. Individually it was for Paul’s good, and corporately it was for the brethren’s good. The Gospel went out because Paul was in prison. It was from prison that Paul wrote much of the New Testament. The Word of God went more places and was spread much faster because Paul was in prison. People became bold to go out and preach the Gospel because he was in prison.  

Sometimes we look at circumstances instead of the Word and think that the devil has been able to stop God’s plan. God would have never made the devil if he had been someone who could stop His plan. Some may think that God did not make the devil, but rather a good angel that fell. Since God is all-knowing as the Scriptures say He is, He knew His angel would become the devil. He is also all-powerful to stop what He knew would happen, therefore, at least by omission, He is the creator of the devil. God says in (Isa.45:7) I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil. I am the Lord, that doeth all these things. (Isa.54:16)… I have created the waster to destroy. (17) No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper…  

Since God created the evil waster, then obviously, He has authority to say that he cannot prosper against us. Evil cannot prosper for its own purpose, only God’s good purpose. Do you suppose the three Hebrews wondered why the God to whom they had been so faithful had ordained the wicked to cast them into a fiery furnace? Those Hebrews found out this trial was to impress a heathen king with the power and saving grace of the God of Israel. He was impressed when God appeared to be walking with them through the fire and there was no harm to their bodies or clothes, only their ropes or bondage was burned off (Dan.3:25-27). God’s purpose was to impress the heathen and to deliver them from bondage. This is a type or shadow of His purpose in our lives, too. 

Everything that God is doing, He is doing according to the counsel of His own Will. There is not another completely free will in all of creation. If there were, this would be a dangerous place. A free will is a will that is able to do what it wants. Thank God that it is only His good free will, which “worketh all things after the counsel of his will,” that is in control. 

I want to encourage you and show you how God is using the wicked and their evil works and His purposes for it. As we saw, He said in (Isa.45:7) I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil. I am the Lord, that doeth all these things. What good reason could God possibly have in creating darkness and evil? Be patient, believe the Scriptures and receive a wonderful understanding of this. Let’s examine how God exercises His Will over evil and to what extent.  

In (Isa.10:5) Ho Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, the staff in whose hand is mine indignation! In this verse, God calls the enemy of Israel His rod and staff to correct them. In Psalm 23, the Good Shepherd uses His rod and staff to comfort David. The rod and staff were tools of the shepherd. The Lord, our Shepherd, uses our enemies as tools to correct us and keep us in line. (Isa.10:6) I will send him against a profane nation (Israel or the Church), and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. (7) Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off nations not a few.  

Notice that the Assyrians did not know they were sent by God to fulfill His plan. It was in their heart to take a spoil and a prey. Whenever God uses vessels of dishonor, they are just fulfilling their lusts. God worked in the Assyrians to will and to do of His good pleasure. We will see that God does this with all of His vessels of dishonor. He has purpose for the wicked in the earth, otherwise, He would have removed them long ago. After God fulfills that purpose, He will do away with them.  

(Isa.10:12) Wherefore it shall come to pass, that, when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks. (13) For he hath said, By the strength of my hand I have done it… Notice that the king of Assyria thought that he had done this by his own strength. As history and this verse prove, when God is finished using the wicked for His people, He will destroy them. From the beginning, God did not intend to immediately do away with the wicked but to use them to perfect His people. 

He commanded the angels to let the tares grow together with the wheat until the end (Mat.13:30), and only then will He separate and destroy the wicked (Mat.13:41-42). He explained that if you gather up the tares, ye root up the wheat with them (Mat.13:29). If God took away the tares, the wheat would die for lack of chastening and object lessons.  

(Isa.10:13) For he hath said, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom…The Assyrians believed that this victory was by their wisdom and strength, but God claimed to be using them as a tool. (15) Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? shall the saw magnify itself against him that wieldeth it? as if a rod should wield them that lift it up, [or] as if a staff should lift up [him that is] not wood. That is the way God sees this army, like a dumb tool. God wielded the axe, saw, rod, and staff and lifted it up to work on His creation. How ludicrous for men to take any credit. God is sovereign, and everything else is a tool to be used by Him in the chastening and perfecting of His saints.  

We should know that God sends these tools to us to carve us into a vessel for His use and that we need to submit for our own sake. These tools are necessary until the saints are God’s finished creation and then He will put them away. Meanwhile, we need not fear that the purpose of evil is prospering. (Isa.54:16)… I have created the waster to destroy. (17) No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper… How comforting it is to know that only God’s purpose is prospering!  

Even Satan is not put in his place until the end when the tempting and crucifying of the saints is over. (Rev.20:1) And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. (2) And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, (3) and cast him into the abyss, and shut [it], and sealed [it] over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years should be finished: after this he must be loosed for a little time. 

One angel had no trouble chaining Satan and casting him into the pit. That was so easy that God could have done it a long time ago if He wanted to. According to the theology of most, God would have had to send an army of angels to get that “heavyweight.” After all, has he not been resisting God for over 6,000 years? Wrong! Notice that after 1,000 years God looses him again! Does that give you any idea about who loosed him the first time in the Garden of Eden? Does God loose Satan to do His Will, or to thwart His Will?  

(Rev.20:7) And when the thousand years are finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, (8) and shall come forth to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. (9) And they went up over the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down out of heaven, and devoured them. (10) And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire…  

(11) And I saw a great white throne… God loosed the devil to deceive all the evil nations, to make war on the saints. He did this so that He could rain down fire on the nations to destroy them, just in time for the great white throne judgment of the wicked. God did not even need the angels to destroy the devil and all of his children. He could have done this in the garden and saved us the trial, but it was not His plan!  

Who cast the devil and his angels down to the earth to deceive the nations and to make war on the saints during the Tribulation period? (Rev.12:7) And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels [going forth] to war with the dragon; and the dragon warred and his angels; (8) And they prevailed not, neither was their place found any more in heaven. (9) And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him. Then the devil in the beast made war with the saints.  

(Rev.13:7) And it was given unto him (the beast) to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and there was given to him authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation. If God was going to cast the devil and his angels down, why not cast them into the lake of fire? Instead, God restrained them to the earth where we are! God needed the hoards of evil to separate the tares from the wheat and to mature the saints. Notice, there “was given unto him” (the beast), both authority over the nations and authority to make war on the saints. God gave authority to the devil, who dwelt in the beast and gave authority to the beast, to try the saints and to crucify their flesh.  

Back to (Isa.10:20) And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and they that are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again lean upon him that smote them, but shall lean upon the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. People lean on the flesh and the world. We trust in America to defend and make us socially secure. The world has our love, respect, honor, and fear, all of which belongs only to God. God has a remedy for that. God brought the illicit lovers of Israel against her so that she would learn who the true enemies of her soul were. In this case, the Lord is showing us the same thing.  

One of His remedies for us loving the things, people, and thinking of the world is that He is going to bring all that against us. (Mat.24:9) Ye shall be hated of all the nations for my name’s sake. It is necessary that we be hated of all nations so that God’s name is manifest in us. It is necessary that the world hate us to turn our heart away from the love of the world. God’s people were too comfortable in Egypt so He turned the Egyptians’ heart to hate His people (Psa.105:25). Then He saved them from the hand of him that hated them (Psa.106:10). First, God turned their heart against Israel, then, God delivered Israel out of their hand, and they were so grateful.  

In (2Sa.7:14) I will be his father, and he shall be my son: if he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men. God’s purpose in creating sons is going to be fulfilled by using vessels of dishonor to chasten His sons for their sins. The rod is physical men, armies, and nations. God uses spiritual principalities and powers to motivate these vessels of dishonor. If I were to pick up a stick and hit my neighbor with it, you would accuse me of evil. On the other hand, if I take the same stick and go chasten my child because of willful disobedience, you should think that good (Pro.23:13-14). What is the difference? The same stick was used, but the purpose was opposite. To attribute evil to God for using evil shows a lack of understanding of His purpose or motive.  

God is going to use evil to do good. God is good and all things that God does are good. We cannot limit God with self-righteous thinking. God is going to do a good work with evil. In fact, without evil, God cannot do this work. (1Ti.1:20) of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I delivered unto Satan, that they might be taught not to blaspheme. The word “blaspheme” here means “to speak evil against.” These men were speaking evil against either someone or the truth, and Paul, for God, turned them over to Satan so that they might be taught not to blaspheme. Satan teaches us much. In most cases, it is Satan and his demons that execute the curse on those that sin.  

The curse was spoken and ordained by God in Deuteronomy 28 to motivate sinners to repent. Satan tempts us with lusts, but when we give in, he legally may administer the curse until we repent. When we get out from under the blood, Satan is waiting. It is not in Satan’s mind to teach us anything or chasten us. That is God’s purpose. Satan is full of lust, and hates mankind and wants to do evil against mankind. Satan does not wish to teach us, mature us, or bring us to an understanding of God but he still brings that to pass.  

Jesus said, If a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand (Mar.3:24). Satan’s kingdom is divided against itself because what he does to the people of God causes them to repent and mature. It is not just Satan, but everything around us that God is going to use to bring us to maturity. Satan, the leader over the vessels of dishonor, is very important to this process. Satan is in command over the wicked spirits and thus, wicked people. God is in command over Satan. The Scripture says, “All things work together for good.” According to this, what Satan does to us is for our good. Does Satan understand what he is doing? No, he does not understand.  

According to the law of sowing and reaping, he has sown deceit, therefore he is deceived. He is out to take man’s position of authority by tempting him to sin. Satan is also a created being. God did not create any being that was going to be able to thwart His Will. He created everything for the purpose of bringing His chosen into the image of Jesus Christ. There are several methods that God uses to move the wicked, Satan, and the demons. One is by the power of suggestion. He works in them to will and to do of His good pleasure. He also commands or gives permission to them.  

We read in (1Co.5:5) to deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. This man had his father’s wife, probably what we would call a stepmother. Paul spoke to the elders in Corinth and determined to agree with them to turn this man over to Satan. Do you think that Satan is thinking about destroying people’s fleshly nature to save their spirit? The flesh is Satan’s ally and a manifestation of his very nature. 

Paul is taking authority over the power of the enemy and using that power to chasten rebellious children of God. (Luk.10:19) Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy… (20) Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you… Jesus delegated authority over the power of enemy spirits to His disciples.  

Disciples have a right by the Spirit of God to use their power or to forbid their power. (Mat.18:18) Verily I say unto you, what things soever ye shall bind (forbid) on earth shall be bound (forbidden) in heaven; and what things soever ye shall loose (permit) on earth shall be loosed (permitted) in heaven. Disciples have authority to forbid or permit. With the guidance of God’s Spirit, mature disciples can permit the devil’s power for a good purpose, “that the spirit may be saved.” In this way, God exercises His sovereignty through His disciples.  

When Jesus sent out His disciples to make disciples, He commanded them to pass on the same authority and commands that He had given them. (Mat.28:20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. If we are disciples (Greek: methetes, “learners and followers”) of Christ, we have the same commands. Jesus said that He would be with them to do this “even unto the end of the world.” Obviously, the original disciples did not live that long, therefore He is speaking to all disciples.  

Today, ministries go from one extreme to the other. Either God’s ministers are totally powerless in the face of rebellion or they exercise carnal dominion like the Pharisees. Just as a father and mother have authority in a family to chasten their children physically, the leadership in the Church has authority, because of the love of Jesus, over His children. This authority is not for the purpose of personal animosity, anger, or vengeance. It is because we do not want to see God’s people come to the end of their lives having never repented of their sins and fall off into the pit. God’s purpose has to be continually working in a person’s life to bring them to maturity, to get them ready to face Him. In the above reference, Paul turned this man over to Satan in obedience to the Spirit, out of love. Some worry about the possibility of abuse here, but the curse that is causeless alighteth not (Pro.26:2). 

We read in (Rom.8:7) Because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be. It is God’s plan for Satan to administer chastening. It is Satan’s lust to do what he is permitted, to destroy man. Satan has been given power over the flesh. Do you remember the serpent in the garden? He was cursed to crawl on his belly and to eat the dust of the earth. What is the dust of the earth? It is what our flesh was made from. Satan has been given authority to come against flesh. I am speaking not only of this body but also of the carnal desires and appetites that gratify self. Satan’s job is to devour the old man, and he is very good at it. The benefit is the saving of the spiritual man.  

God commonly turns us over to Satan for chastening when we walk in willful disobedience. In Matthew 18, we have a case of unforgiveness. (Mat.18:34) And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors (demons), till he should pay all that was due. (35) So shall also my heavenly Father do unto you, if ye forgive not every one his brother from your hearts. This is a common thing. When we see ourselves delivered over to the curse, we should examine our conscience to see if there is cause to repent. I say “if,” because sometimes Satan is permitted to come against us to build our faith and to prove our authority over him. God uses a very bad devil to do a very good work in more ways than one.  

It says in (2Pe.2:9) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment unto the day of judgment; (10) but chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement, and despise dominion… God takes credit for keeping the rebellious under judgment. Some live under judgment all their life because they “walk after the flesh.” If we do not understand the sovereignty of God, many times we are going to go through a lot more judgment. We need to recognize God’s purpose in everything. He uses Satan, his demons, or the wicked people around us to chasten and bring us to repentance or to build our faith through trials.  

Many only see the vessel; they do not see God behind the vessel whose purpose is being fulfilled. Satan would have us believe that the reason he comes against us is because we are good children of God. However, God would have us believe that when Satan comes against us it is because He loves us and chastens our corrupt nature and acts, or to give our faith a spiritual workout. If you only see Satan coming against you and not God, then you do not have any motivation to change. But, if you see God sending Satan against you, then you are motivated to change. (Joh.3:27) … A man can receive nothing, except it have been given him from heaven.  

(Heb.2:2)… Every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward. All you have to do is look at the recompense, and you can tell when something is a transgression. When we look at the recompense we can see if it is wrong. Is it wrong to recreationally indulge in hard liquor? Look at the recompense, deterioration of the body and spirit. Is it wrong to smoke? Look at the recompense, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cancer, and other physical complications. People who are bitter, angry, and unforgiving are delivered over to cancer, arthritis, and other immune deficiencies.  

Many with cancer or arthritis have kept up anger and bitterness in their lives. Anxiety and worry gives way to ulcers. You do not have to ask if it is sin; look at what it does to people. Even if you do not know a verse that tells you it is a sin, look at the fruit of it. Look at what comes against you because of it. God has ordained the entire curse system to come against those who transgress. Whether God is using the devil, his demons, wicked people around you, sickness, or any other part of the curse, He is doing it to bring us to repentance and fruit.  

God will use evil spirits to humble us and bring about good fruit in us. Paul is a good example. He was caught up to the third heaven and received wonderful revelations that tempted him to be proud. (2Co.12:7) And by reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted overmuch, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger (Greek: angelos, “angel”) of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted overmuch. Paul says the thorn was an angel of Satan to buffet him. The word “buffet” means “to hit over and over.” You can see that this evil spirit was given to Paul to fulfill God’s purpose of humbling him.  

(2Co.12:8) Concerning this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. (9) And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for [my] power is made perfect in weakness… This angel of Satan was bringing about a humbling in Paul’s life that God called grace. When Paul was in a position of personal weakness or inability to save himself, he got to see God’s power to save. It should be the same with us. Earlier in the text, Paul lists what he calls weaknesses. He lists things such as shipwrecks, prisons, persecutions from enemies, and stripes. Not once does Paul mention sickness in the list. The point is that God uses evil angels to come against our lusts, to humble us, to chasten us, and to cause us to repent.  

(2Co.12:8) Concerning this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it (the angel of Satan or demon) might depart from me. (9) And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee… God was saying that He would deliver Paul from the individual buffetings, but not from the angel of Satan. Paul said as much to Timothy. (2Ti.3:11) Persecutions, sufferings. What things befell me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. (2Tim.4:18) The Lord will deliver me from every evil work… In this, we see the sovereignty of God in both bringing the chastening and supplying the deliverance.  

We read in (2Th.1:4) So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which ye endure. God never does anything just for one purpose. (2Th.1:5) [Which is] a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God; to the end that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer.  

Sometimes God’s method is to use an angel of Satan to bring us into persecution and affliction, which Paul said was a token of the judgment of God to get us ready for His kingdom. Most often, the demons are administering the curse to do that. All things, curses and blessings, are working together for our good. We have a covenant right to deliverance from the curse. (Gal. 3:13) Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us…  

Now let’s go to (Psa.78:43) How he set his signs in Egypt, And his wonders in the field of Zoan, (44) And turned their rivers into blood, And their streams, so that they could not drink. (45) He sent among them swarms of flies, which devoured them; And frogs, which destroyed them. (46) He gave also their increase unto the caterpillar, And their labor unto the locust. (47) He destroyed their vines with hail, And their sycomore-trees with frost. (48) He gave over their cattle also to the hail, And their flocks to hot thunderbolts. (49) He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, Wrath, and indignation, and trouble, A band of angels of evil.  

(50) He made a path for his anger; He spared not their soul from death, But gave their life over to the pestilence (51) And smote all the first-born in Egypt. Here we have God sending judgments, which He called “a band of angels of evil,” to chasten His people and destroy their enemies. When God sent all these judgments through “angels of evil,” they came against both the Egyptians and the Israelites in the beginning until His people were willing to come out of Egypt. Then God made a separation between Goshen and Egypt. The judgments then fell only on the Egyptians so that God’s people would be set free. When we repent of living in Egypt, we do not have to live under the judgments.

And (Exo.12:23) For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side-posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you. Notice that the Lord passed over the Israelites’ door with the destroyer and smote the Egyptians. The king angel of the abyss in Revelation 9:11 was Apollyon (in the Greek) or Abaddon (in the Hebrew), and both of these names mean “destroyer.”  

These are just two of the many names for the devil. He was the king demon over death, but God had authority over him. The destroyer came through at midnight, exactly when God said he would. God’s purpose was for him to destroy God’s enemies and anyone who did not partake of the lamb. God told them to eat the lamb, and the destroyer would not smite them. That is how we come out from under the curse of sin and death. We must eat the lamb, Jesus Christ, the Word. By consuming and digesting the Word of God, we are delivered from the curse and manifest our sonship.  

Sennacherib, king of the Assyrian Empire, had sent his vast army against Judah, but God promised them victory through Isaiah. (Isa.37:7) Behold, I will put a spirit in him, and he shall hear tidings, and shall return unto his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land. God put a demon spirit in Sennacherib, who, hearing voices, was then afraid of being away from home. Many demon-possessed people hear voices. The demons want to destroy God’s people. Sometimes they have no choice in what they do. God used this demon to take the king home where he fell by the sword of two of his sons (Isa.37:38).  

Some ministers, who have not lived righteous lives and yet retain authority over God’s people, have been demon-possessed. King Saul was just such a man. God called him and anointed him, but he rebelled. (1Sa.16:14) Now the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him. If most people did not know this was in the Word, they would accuse me of heresy. We read here an evil spirit from the Lord troubling Saul because he would not obey. (15) And Saul’s servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee. (16) Let our lord now command thy servants, that are before thee, to seek out a man who is a skilful player on the harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well. Of course, they found David with his harp to comfort the king. Isn’t that something? God sent an evil spirit to trouble Saul and then sent David with his harp to give him some relief from the torment. He works on us from both sides.  

I ministered in an assembly once where I discerned that the pastor had demons. He was having problems with women, money, and honesty. He told me three times that God had spoken to him that he was Saul and I was David. I shared with him truths that would help him to overcome, but he was self-willed. I asked the Lord what to do about him because he was causing believers to stumble. God said, “Let the Philistines take him out.” The Philistines were the enemies of God’s people who took Saul out. The enemies of God’s people did take this man out, too. I ended up taking over the ministering there for a short time. It was Saul and David all over again. God worked on this man from both sides. In Deuteronomy 28, God says over and over that He would send the curse to the rebellious, and now we know that He sent Jesus to deliver from that curse.  

We are constantly faced with a choice. God has put us here for our soul to make a decision between our flesh and our spirit. We are the highest creation of God and the lowest creation of God. We are between heaven and hell, between demons and the angels, between God and the devil. Every way we turn, there is a decision to be made. God planned it that way. He is saying to rebellious people, “The curse is in front of you; do not go. But if you do, it is your own fault, and you will pay a penalty.” At the same time He offers grace to make the right decision.  

God raised up Gideon to conquer Israel’s enemies. After this, Gideon would not accept a position of authority over Israel. In fact, he would not let his sons take a position of authority over Israel while he was alive (Jdg.8:23). Gideon had seventy-one sons, one of these by a concubine in Shechem. This son lusted after authority and wanted to be the next king over Israel. So he conspired with the men of Shechem to kill Gideon’s seventy sons. All but Jotham were murdered. Jotham prophesied the following to the men of Shechem after they had executed the dastardly deed: (Jdg.9:20)… Let fire come out from Abimelech, and devour the men of Shechem, and the house of Millo; and let fire come out from the men of Shechem, and from the house of Millo, and devour Abimelech.  

God was pronouncing through Jotham a curse of division upon the guilty parties. (Jdg.9:22) And Abimelech was prince over Israel three years. (23) And God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech: (24) that the violence done to the threescore and ten sons of Jerubbaal might come, and that their blood might be laid upon Abimelech their brother, who slew them, and upon the men of Shechem, who strengthened his hands to slay his brethren. God wanted to judge and destroy this evil alliance so He sent an evil spirit between them to divide and conquer. Both Abimelech and the men of Shechem were destroyed because of this one evil spirit. God used evil to judge the guilty and to deliver His people from their hand.  

Once I was ministering in an assembly along with two other ministers. These two ministers were grieving me because they were continually patting each other on the back, even while they were agreeing to disagree with God’s Word. When I went home one evening after witnessing them confirm one another’s errors in front of the congregation, I felt that the Lord put in my heart to pray that He would send an evil spirit between these two ministers to break up this evil alliance. I was shocked. The next day, I found out that on the very evening of my prayer, those two had fallen out with one another to the degree that they had separated. God used that to separate this evil alliance between these two people.  

God uses this method all through the Scriptures. Let me share another example. (Rev.16:14) For they are spirits of demons, working signs; which go forth unto the kings of the whole world, to gather them together unto the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. Here demons gather the whole world to fight the battle of Armageddon. The same account in Zechariah says that God gathered the whole world to that battle. (Zec.14:2) For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle… (3) Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. So now we see that God will use the demons to gather the enemy army against His people just so that He can destroy them and save His people. Friend, can you see that if God [is] for us, who [is] against us? (Rom.8:31) On the other hand, if God is against us then who can be for us?  

After gathering the nations to the battle, the Lord said that He would “fight against those nations, as when He fought in the day of battle.” In 2 Chronicles 20:17, the Lord told Jehoshaphat, “Ye shall not need to fight in this [battle]: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord.” He was going to fight this battle. His method of warfare is described in the following verses: (2Ch.20:22) And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set liers-in-wait against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, that were come against Judah; and they were smitten. (23) For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another. 

I used to think that they waited in ambush for one another. But as I looked at the Scripture more carefully, I discovered that God set liers-in-wait for the whole army so that they fell out with one another. The demon spirits who brought them there were waiting to assemble them so that they could ambush them with suspicion, greed, anger, fear, etc., and cause them to destroy one another. He divided three armies that came as one into three, and they killed off one another. Since God is paralleling this to the battle of Armageddon, He will cause a civil war in the midst of the end time beast kingdom, and they will divide into kings of the north, kings of the south (Dan.11:40), and kings of the East (Rev.16:12) to destroy one another and save God’s people. God is in control of demons, therefore, He is also in control of their obedient servants, men. All this is for the purpose of bringing us to repentance and glorifying Himself in our eyes and the world’s. This should be a word of encouragement to anyone.  

Though God uses evil spirits to divide, He also uses us to forbid them when appropriate. God wants us to resist the devil, to not permit his lies or his accusing of the brethren. God expects us to be vigilant and to test the spirits at all times. The ability to test with discernment comes from the practice of seeking to be a vessel of honor and having our spiritual senses exercised by the Word to discern good and evil (Heb.5:13-14). It is a pity more of God’s people do not hear from the Lord today.  

Many falsely believe that the division of an assembly of Christians could not possibly be the Will of God. The assembly at Jerusalem was scattered by persecution in order to spread the Gospel. Israel rebelled from under the house of David leaving only Judah and Benjamin. King Rehoboam gathered his army to bring the rebels back into the fold, but the Lord through the prophet spoke to them. (1Ki.12:24) Thus saith the Lord, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is of me… Other reasons for division could be because the assembly is too large to meet the needs of the individual or because the assembly is apostate and ruled by men, in which case, the people would not grow up in Christ.  

God divided Babel because their unity was for the purpose of evil. Notice it was the tongue that divided them just as the denominations are divided now. God’s purpose in division is always good but man’s purpose is generally evil. Denominationalism is the tendency to divide into sects and is a work of the flesh according to the Word (Gal.5:20; 1Co.1:10-13; 1Co.3:1-8; 1Co.11:17-19; and so on.). Jesus prayed that His disciples would be one even as He and the Father are one (Joh.17:21-22). This can only happen when in the Tribulation the righteous give up their sects to be one flock with one Shepherd (Joh.10:16).  

Now let’s go to (Rom.9:17) For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, For this very purpose did I raise thee up, that I might show in thee my power, and that my name might be published abroad in all the earth. (18) So then he hath mercy on whom he will, and whom he will he hardeneth. Here it is hard to escape the fact that God made Pharaoh stubborn in order to make Himself famous and powerful in the eyes of men. God knows that we need to perceive a great God and Savior. Those who ignorantly think they are defending God’s reputation usually say that Pharaoh hardened his own heart first. (Exo.4:21) And the Lord said unto Moses, When thou goest back into Egypt, see that thou do before Pharaoh all the wonders which I have put in thy hand: but I will harden his heart and he will not let the people go. (Exo.7:3) And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.  

Five times in Exodus, God says that He hardened Pharaoh’s heart before we are told that Pharaoh… hardened his heart (Exo.8:15). God sent Moses to tell Pharaoh to set His people free. He then hardened Pharaoh’s heart to refuse to set them free. To Israel this made their freedom naturally impossible. God gave to them what they perceived as hopeless in order to glorify Himself in their eyes. They needed to know that He could save them from anything in their coming wilderness trial. God and you are a majority in any situation.  

If that was not enough, God hardened Pharaoh’s heart again to cause him to follow the Israelites into the Red Sea to the Egyptians’ destruction. (Exo.14:4) And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he shall follow after them; and I will get me honor upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host… Unlike the movies, this is the only Pharaoh that they have found that died of drowning. All this was just to impress Israel with God’s power to set free. They were going to need this in the trials to come.  

Have you ever had some hardened heart in a position of power over you? Go to God, not Pharaoh. All Moses ever got from him was insolence. Have you considered your flesh? Does it seem more powerful than your ability to obey God? That was God’s plan. He wants to show us His power to save from sin. (2Co.4:7) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves. God wants no competition from our own ability. He wants to prove the power of His grace through our faith in Him. 

It says in (Pro.26:2) As the sparrow in her wandering, as the swallow in her flying, So the curse that is causeless alighteth not. No curse can alight upon us unless there is a cause. Sin and corruption are the most likely cause. Only God’s purpose is fulfilled in a curse. It says in (Num.23:8) How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? And how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied? We are really wise if we are looking for the cause, and not looking at the curse, or looking at the devil. If we deal with the cause, we do not have to live with the curse.  

The problem is people will not deal with the cause. They just live with the curse and try by man’s methods to be delivered from it. If man, by his own methods, could deliver us from the curse that God sent to cause us to repent, man would be detrimental. What if we examine our conscience and do not see the cause? Then it is very possible that the cause is so that we renew our mind with the Word and fight the good fight of faith. Sometimes the Lord sends Satan against us so that we can whip him. Yes, God does that to prove to us that His Word is true and that we have authority over all the power of the enemy. God’s ultimate purpose is to manifest His sovereignty through us.  

God wants us to learn to fight a spiritual warfare. God gives us practice sometimes. When Satan comes against us through demons, wicked people, or circumstances, we should examine our conscience. If we do not find guilt because of willful disobedience, then we should exercise the authority that Jesus gave us against Satan, because we are going to win. In coming against Satan, we are also crucifying our old man because our old man is created in the image of Satan. When we fight with Satan, we fight with “self”. When we win against Satan, we win against “self”. That is another part of God’s plan that is so perfect and so beautiful. Amen.  

Let’s go to (Lam.3:37) Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not? Can evil command something and it come to pass if the Lord has not commanded it? No! God is sovereign. Jesus said His words were not His but the Father’s. We know this was true because they came to pass. By the grace of God, I have commanded healings, miracles, provisions and deliverances that have come to pass. Religious people have told me that my faith was presumptuous because we cannot know the Will of God. I have thought, “How ludicrous! Do I have power to do these things? God did them. I merely agreed with His Word.” The proof that I was in agreement with God is that they came to pass. If the devil commands something and it comes to pass, is it because he is more powerful than God? Not according to this verse. It is because God commanded it whether the devil knew it or not. (Lam.3:38) Out of the mouth of the Most High cometh there not evil and good?  

Where does evil and good come from? God says that it comes out of the mouth of the Most High. Does that mean God is evil? No, it means we deserve or need the ministry of evil. (Lam.3:39) Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins? We have been brainwashed to believe that man is basically good and deserving of good, so we are shocked when bad things happen to “good” people. (Mar.10:18) And Jesus said unto him… None is good save one, [even] God. 

From God’s mouth comes blessing and curse, good and evil. The evil here represents the hard things that happen to “good” people in order to turn them toward good and to stop them from continuing in sin. Any evil that comes against the life of those who “are called according to His purpose” is for good. We should always examine our conscience and the Word to find out if God is sending Satan against us because of the sin in us or the actions of sin that we do.  

Arminianism is the erroneous belief that everyone has a free will. God is the only one who has a free will. We have a limited free will, limited by our ability, thinking, nature, body, and circumstances. If you have a free will, let’s see if you can stop sinning. We cannot do just anything we would like to do. The only one the Bible credits with the ability to do everything He wishes is God (Eph.1:11) In whom also we were made a heritage, having been foreordained (predestined) according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his will. 

Like this verse, Calvinism teaches the sovereignty of God over election, predestination, evil, and everything. The only way that we can do what we want to do is to get God’s Will in us. (Php.2:13) For it is God who worketh in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure. Then we can do what we want to do because we want what He wants, and what He wants He gets.  

That is how the Son sets us free, by giving us a will to do His Will. While we have our own will, we will be at war with ourselves. (Gal.5:17) For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary the one to the other; that ye may not do the things that ye would. We have God’s Will in us, and we have our will in us. They are tugging away at each other. That is not freedom or a free will. This means that “ye may not do the things that ye would.”  

We did not even have the freedom of will to come to God. (Joh.6:44) No man can come to me, except the Father that sent me draw him: and I will raise him up in the last day. That is not a free will. We choose not to come to God, unless He draws us. You may choose to sin, most do, but God will choose the time, place, and extent. (Pro.16:9) A man’s heart deviseth his way; But the Lord directeth his steps. God directs the steps of His vessels of honor or dishonor. The only reason we make the choice in God’s direction is because of grace. (Joh.15:16) Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit… Jesus first chose us and gave us the will to choose Him because of His unmerited favor. We bear fruit because of a gift of His Will in us. 

The Lord brings spirits against us to chasten us and to cause us to repent, then after we overcome, He has total ability to make our enemies to be at peace with us. (Pro.16:7) When a man’s ways please the Lord, He maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. We see here that God has total control over our enemies and He can put peace in their heart toward us when we overcome. We should remember this when we are tempted to take care of our enemies ourselves. So we see, God uses our enemies when our ways do not please the Lord.  

God created our enemies just for that purpose. (Pro.16:4) The Lord hath made everything for its own end (Some manuscripts say: for His own purpose.): Yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. Need I say that we should not argue with God? We see God’s hand as sovereign in all of this. God can send the wicked to us, for a day of evil, because our ways do not please the Lord. When we overcome, God can give us total peace in the midst of our enemies. Whether they are wicked men or demon spirits, it does not make any difference.  

Should we reason with our puny understanding that God would be wrong to make the wicked? He has an answer in (Rom.9:21) Or hath not the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor? (22) What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering vessels of wrath fitted (Greek: “to complete thoroughly”) unto destruction. Notice that they are vessels of dishonor and wrath, made to be destroyed. (2Pe.2:12) But these, as creatures without reason, born mere animals to be taken and destroyed…  

In instances like this, we must repent and conform our reasoning to God’s if we want truth. In God’s opinion, and His is the only one that counts, the wicked are animals, made to be destroyed when they have served their purpose. (Pro.21:18) The wicked is a ransom for the righteous; And the treacherous [cometh] in the stead of the upright. A ransom is a price that must be paid for someone’s freedom. The wicked are a price that God pays to create sons who are free from the bondage of corruption, so let us not waste their sacrifice.  

When Joseph was revealed unto his brethren who came out of Canaan’s land into Egypt, they were repenting to him because of the way that they had treated him. Joseph understood the cause for all the tribulation he had been through. (Gen.50:20) And as for you, ye meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Joseph credited God for using evil to bring him into Egypt “to save much people alive.” The Israelites who came out of Canaan’s land were starving to death. When they came to Egypt, Joseph, who was sent on ahead because of his ‘Judas’ brothers, fed them. God used them to crucify Joseph and prepare him as a vessel of honor.  

I remember once when I bought a used car from a heathen. We had agreed on a price and were to close the deal the next day. I had asked God for a better price. The next day, when I went to close the deal, he said he would sell it for the better price that I had only spoken about to the Lord. Only God could put in the heart of a lost used car salesman to suggest selling for a cheaper price after we had already agreed. I realized that God had put this in his heart even though it did not come naturally to him. God works in us to will and to do of His good pleasure, so also them.  

The Lord said to Peter in (Luk.22:31) Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat: (32) but I made supplication for thee, that thy faith fail not; and do thou, when once thou hast turned again, establish thy brethren. Satan asked to sift Peter, but why would God give any heed to what he asks unless it is for our good? If Peter had been like most people, he would ask, “Lord, why did you give Satan permission to have me? Just say, ‘No, Satan, you cannot have him.’” But Jesus knew that was not God’s Will.  

God’s purpose is for Satan to get what belongs to him in our lives. The purpose of sifting is to separate and remove what you want. He keeps what is his. The Lord said, “The evil one cometh but he hath nothing in me.” Jesus was pure; there was nothing in Him that belonged to Satan. Satan is sifting to get what belongs to him. God only wants what is left. God could have destroyed him back at the beginning of the world but God ordained Satan for His good purpose. When God is through doing His whole work upon the people of God, guess what He is going to do with Satan, the demons, the wicked, the false prophet and the beast, too? That is right, the lake of fire.  

Jesus set the sheep on His right hand and the goats on His left (Mat.25:33). That is exactly how God uses the righteous and the wicked, as His right hand and His left. His right hand is the vessels of honor, and His left hand is the vessels of dishonor. Satan is, in effect, one of God’s hands to create His sons. Let me share a dream from a close spiritual brother. He saw a line of the saints coming before Jesus in heaven. At Jesus’ left hand was Satan with an old-style cannon in front of him pointed at the first person in line. Satan with a lighter in his hand eagerly wanted to light the fuse on the cannon and blow them away. Jesus’ left hand was in front of Satan stopping him. From that dream, you can see that when the Lord moves His left hand, Satan moves.  

Here is a clear case of that. (Job.1:8) And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job? for there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and upright man, one that feareth God, and turneth away from evil. God brought Job to Satan’s attention and bragged about him. That is just like waving a red flag in a bull’s face. Satan did not want to hear that. In fact, Satan is trying to prove just the opposite to God. He is the accuser of the brethren. God inflicted Satan on Job by the power of suggestion. (9) Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? (10) Hast not thou made a hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath, on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.  

Satan is admitting he did not have the power to get at Job because of God’s hedge. The same is true of us. (11) But put forth thy hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will renounce thee to thy face. (12) And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thy hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord. Satan suggests to God that He drop the hedge and put forth “His hand” against Job to try him. So why drop the hedge? It was not keeping God’s hand out unless you see that the left hand of the Lord was Satan! God confirms this by using the terms “in thy power” and “thy hand.”  

Satan was the one who brought the Sabeans, the fire of God, the Chaldeans and the great wind from the wilderness against Job and his family to try him. Look at what Job said about it in verse (21) And he said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. (22) In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. God says plainly here that Job was not sinning by attributing all this to Him. The Lord gave on the right hand, and the Lord took away on the left.  

Some people would say that the Sabeans, Chaldeans, and the fire took everything away from Job. Some would look behind those and say that Satan did it. Then some would look a little further back and say that God did it. That is what Job did. That is what we have to do if we are to have the purpose of God fulfilled in our lives. We have to look all the way back and see God’s purpose in our lives. Job did not stumble because he understood that. Anyone who sees only the vessel will stumble. If we see only an evil vessel, we will end up fighting and wrestling with flesh and blood. Even though Job was hurting, in his spirit he had rest because he saw God’s purpose.  

He goes on in (Job.2:3) And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job? for there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and turneth away from evil: and he still holdeth fast his integrity (God was rubbing Satan’s nose in it.), although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. God appears to be using reverse psychology on Satan, letting him believe that he was moving God when it was the other way around. God was moved against Job, but Satan was the instrument.  

It was God who pointed Job out to Satan in the first place in order to fulfill His own purpose. (4) And Satan answered the Lord, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. (5) But put forth thy hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will renounce thee to thy face. (6) And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thy hand; only spare his life. God always laid down the conditions of Satan’s involvement even as he does today. (9) Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still hold fast thine integrity? renounce God, and die. (10) But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips. 

God wanted to make it plain to us, using two witnesses, that what Job was saying was correct. Shall we receive good at the hand of God and not evil? Job never gave credit to Satan. He never even gave credit to the Sabeans, Chaldeans, or the wind from the wilderness. Job only looked at the primary purpose of God. 

Jesus, in teaching us to cooperate with God’s purpose of crucifixion in our lives, said, “Resist not him that is evil,” speaking of men. However, we are commanded to, “Resist the devil,” speaking of evil spirits. We should never get caught up and wrestle with flesh and blood. Jesus would not. (Isa.53:7) He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth. We are to wrestle with principalities and powers.  

God wants us to see evil people as victims of Satan and the curse, vessels to be pitied. (Luk.23:34) And Jesus said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do… God wants us to see through those vessels of evil and see Him. Jesus had peace because He knew all power comes from our sovereign God. (Joh.19:10) Pilate therefore saith unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? Knowest thou not that I have power to release thee, and have power to crucify thee? (11) Jesus answered him, Thou wouldest have no power against me, except it were given thee from above… 

Eli rebuked his sons for their apostasy in (1Sa.2:24) Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the Lord’s people to transgress. (25)… Notwithstanding, they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the Lord was minded to slay them. The purpose of the Lord is ultimate. Many will not repent because it is in the mind of the Lord to slay them for their evil. We could justly receive the same treatment, but God gave us grace. (Eph.2:8) For by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, [it is] the gift of God. Only God gives the gift of faith to believe and repent. We have to go to God; He grants faith and repentance. True understanding of salvation by unmerited grace causes us to fear God.  

Some do not value the gift of God only to have it taken away and given to ones who do value it. The Jews lost out to the Gentiles. Let no one take thy crown (Rev.3:11). The self-righteous flirt with catastrophe. (1Co.4:7) For who maketh thee to differ? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? but if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory as if thou hadst not received it? If we have anything more than our neighbor, it is a gift of God, not cause for pride.

The effectual fervent prayers and commands of the righteous are heard. Although the fully knowledgeable are not to take up arms, those who are less perfect will, and God will use them as the vessels they are to defend the victims. Militias are going in to save the victims and right wing military.

In Ananias and Sapphira’s case the Apostle did not use force but the angels did the necessary work through his spoken word. He was not guilty, God was, for the angels will not do what is contrary to His will. Psa 103:20-21  Bless Jehovah, ye his angels, That are mighty in strength, that fulfil his word, Hearkening unto the voice of his word.  21  Bless Jehovah, all ye his hosts, Ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

Heb 1:13-14  But of which of the angels hath he said at any time, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet?  14  Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to do service for the sake of them that shall inherit salvation? So speak in faith what you know is the will of God and expect the angels to carry it out. It was two angels who destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah and there is none more guilty of this than this satanic leftist state.

Becoming as a Child

If we put our trust in man we will fail. I have said for a while that I didn’t believe God would give us the victory over our enemies without us first being weak for God's power is made perfect through weakness. He wants us to put our trust in Him as a little child so He can show His power to the World to save us from this beast. He is showing us our inability to save ourselves so we can receive this salvation by grace and not by men’s power. Little David refused Saul’s armor and weapon to fight with Goliath because he had not proved them. He killed the lion and bear by the power of God not men. Goliath had all the weapons of man. David said, ‘You come to me with a sword and a spear but I come to you in the name of the Lord.’ I would, that our leaders in the physical world would proclaim His name before the enemy.  

David chose 5 smooth stones but used only one to take down Goliath. The senses are these stones that were polished in the water of God’s Word. David chose a stone which he sent on ahead to take down Goliath. In the New Testament we find that Jesus is the rock which the builder rejected. The stone that followed the Israelites was Jesus. When does His power come like this to a little child? The child is weak but trusts in his father. It is our faith that counts, the world and the worldly Church doesn’t have any. Their faith is in President Trump but He needs our childlike faith for His power.  

The thing about grownups is they’re self-confident, self-sufficient, self-dependent. All of those traits the world thinks of as being positive, but in the Kingdom they’re not considered that way by God. The Lord says the only way you can enter into the Kingdom is to be a child. Jesus said, “suffer the little children to come unto me; forbid them not: for to such belongeth the kingdom of God (Mar.10:14). Forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God, is what it said in the original. Of such is the kingdom of God. (15) Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall in no wise enter therein. (16) And he took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands upon them.” We each need to become as a child so we can walk with the Lord. 

We’re entering into the Kingdom here on earth and in reality, the Kingdom is every place in your life. The kingdom of God is within you (Luk.17:21), Jesus said. The Kingdom is every place in your life where God is able to rule. God is not able to rule until you’re in agreement with Him. To be a child is to be confident in your Father, not self-confident. It’s to be dependent upon your Father, not self-dependent. This is valuable to God. As He said, “my righteous one shall live by (“from” in the Numeric) faith: And if he shrink back, my soul hath no pleasure in him” (Heb.10:38).  

What pleases God is that we live from faith, not in our self-confidence, or our self-sufficiency, or our own ability, or the strength of the arm of the flesh, but that we put our trust in God and walk with Him like a little child walks with his father. We must give up being grownups. We must become as children in the Kingdom in order for God to be able to rule everywhere in our lives. (Mat.18:1) In that hour came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven? (2) And he called to him a little child, and set him in the midst of them, (3) and said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye turn and become as little children, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven. And these were His disciples that He was telling this to.  

These were not the lost Pharisees; these were the disciples of Jesus who were learning and following Him. He said you will not enter in unless you turn and become as little children. The process of the Christian life is turning and becoming as little children and becoming God-dependent, God-sufficient and God-confident. (Mat.18:4) Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (5) And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. You see, Jesus was a little child. That’s Who He was. He says, if you receive one of these little children, you receive Me. I.e. That’s somebody who’s in My likeness; you receive Me. He was a child. He really was. He wasn’t a grownup in the ways of the world, in the ways of confidence in the world, the strength of the world.  

Grownups are known for making their own way, making their own living, being self-sufficient, being great providers, but the Lord wants to wash all that out of us. He wants us to put all of our confidence and our trust in Him and become as little children. If you receive one such little child, you receive Jesus. He was confident in His Father. I’ll tell you, the best way we can help ourselves is by walking by faith in God’s Word. You’ve probably heard the old saying that, “God helps those who help themselves,” but that’s not found in the Bible. That saying is credited to Benjamin Franklin in his Poor Richard’s Almanac.  

No, the best way to help yourself is walking in faith in God’s Word. (Rom.14:22) The faith which thou hast, have thou to thyself before God… You can help yourself to everything that God has for you through faith in His Word. (Luk.10:21) In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes: yea, Father; for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight. So, the disciples had just come back from being sent out by the Lord to take authority over the works of the devil. They came back rejoicing that God had given them authority over the power of the devil and that they had done the works of Jesus, and they saw that the spirits were subject unto them. Jesus called them babes because it’s babes who received this revelation of the authority of Jesus and this revelation of how to use the authority of Jesus.  

Let’s back up a little in this chapter. (Luk.10:3) Go your ways; behold, I send you forth as lambs in the midst of wolves. (4) Carry no purse, no wallet, no shoes; and salute no man on the way. So, they were babes because Jesus sent them out totally dependent upon the Lord. (5) And into whatsoever house ye shall enter, first say, Peace [be] to this house. (6) And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon him: but if not, it shall turn to you again. He said, “salute no man on the way” because you really don’t know people but you find out later who people are. We’re going to find out before the end of the tribulation who people really are and who His children are. God sent these disciples out as children, as totally dependent upon the Lord, not self-sufficient, not able to take care of themselves. He deliberately took away their ability to take care of themselves when He sent them by not letting them take any kind of insurance with them.  

The only thing they took was His assurance because He said, “the laborer is worthy of his hire” (Luk.10:7), meaning, if you just go, God will always pay His workers. You don’t have to worry about it. God is that way. He wants us to go without our own sufficiency or our own insurance so that we can see His provision on the way. I really truthfully believe that Jesus never changed this way of sending out people. Many times, if God says, “Go,” you may go. It doesn’t matter if you have the wherewithal to do this. If God says, “Go,” you may go. He will never fail you. He will meet you on the way. He’s done it many, many times with me when He said, “Go,” and I’ve noticed, “But, God, I don’t have this” or “I don’t have gas” or “I don’t have money.” But God doesn’t take “no” for an answer. If He says, “Go,” you can go because He will be there.  

He’ll put gas in your car. He’s done it to me several times. Or He’ll make it run without gas. He’s done that, too. Or He’ll put money in your pocket somehow or another. He’ll do it. Or He’ll make your money stretch. He can surely multiply it. He can do all things. He’ll have you meet-up with people whom He has put there specifically to supply your needs, if you go by faith and be obedient to Him. If you go as a child, just trusting in your Father. In America, Christians seem grown-up and have insulated themselves against anything that could happen, as though they don’t believe in a sovereign God. The Bible says, “A man can receive nothing, except it have been given him from heaven” (Joh.3:27). God, Who is Sovereign, will make sure that He blesses you, if you go by faith in Him.  

Believe me, the time is coming when everybody is going to have to go by faith in God because He’s going to take away all the things that people have insured and insulated themselves with from the things that might happen in the world. But God never goes to sleep. He’s never fallen off the throne. He’s there always. He is going to make sure that His Word comes true. And we can be just like little children. We can cast ourselves on His mercy. Children never even think about where the next meal is going to come from; they just know that it’s Momma and Daddy’s responsibility; they’ll take care of that. And you know, that’s the way God is with us. He wants that kind of relationship with us. God’s not happy with anything less. (Heb.10:38) My righteous one shall live from faith: And if he shrink back, my soul hath no pleasure in him.  

God doesn’t have pleasure in self-sufficient people. He has pleasure in people who walk by faith, talk by faith, live by faith. And it is a pleasure to live by faith. I don’t yet know all of what living by faith is; God’s only shown me the little parts that He’s shown me, but I would love to live by faith in every direction. Some directions I’ve never even thought about and other people will come and say, “Oh, did you try this?” For example, a sister in the Lord once told me that she and some other people just picked up some instruments and started playing them by faith and pretty soon they got better and better at it. They were surprised at how God blessed them. Well, that led us to pray over our children, Nathan and Jennifer, by faith, and God answered that prayer. I tell you, it was just the very next week after that when they started playing music, picking it up quite naturally, by ear.  

There is nothing that God can’t do and won’t do for those who put their trust in Him. I believe this is the reason that He said He revealed these things unto babes. God reveals the authority of God and the power of His name to people who will become children, people who will cast care to the wind and put themselves in His Hands, just trusting in Him, believing in Him. (Eph.3:20) God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. God loves it when we are weak but we don’t see it that way. But as I said, we do our best to insulate ourselves from any possible mishap, but that doesn’t please God when we put our trust in the gods of this world to save us.  

The apostle Paul learned that lesson. He was caught up to paradise and he said, “On behalf of such a one (the man who was caught up to paradise) will I glory: but on mine own behalf I will not glory, save in my weaknesses” (2Co.12:5). The King James Version translates that word “weaknesses” there as “infirmities” because they had the idea that the apostle Paul had some kind of sickness or infirmities, but a closer look at this reveals that’s not the case at all. Those translators believed the apostle Paul had an eye disease or something like that and that God said, “my grace is sufficient for thee” (2Co.12:9), meaning, “You just keep that because you need to overcome that; or you need that to humble you.” But obviously that would be contrary to a lot of rest of the Word. The Bible says, “by whose stripes ye were healed” (1Pe.2:24). So we were healed all the time.  

Let’s read on. (2Co.12:6) For if I should desire to glory, I shall not be foolish; for I shall speak the truth: but I forebear, lest any man should account of me above that which he seeth me [to be,] or heareth from me. (7) And by reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted overmuch, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted overmuch. So he said “thorn in the flesh” was a messenger of Satan, an angelos. The Greek word there is angelos, which is translated 181 times in the New Testament as “angel” and the other few times as “messenger,” but it means the same thing. Here was an angel of Satan that was sent to buffet Paul so that he wouldn’t be proud.  

By the way, to “buffet” is not just one blow. It means to beat over and over and over. It’s many blows. But a thorn in the flesh, in this case, was an angel of Satan that was sent to buffet Paul. In the Old Testament, for every verse that talks about a thorn in the flesh, never, not once, is it ever a sickness. It was always referring to the enemies of God’s people that came against them and in this case it’s the same thing. An angel of Satan was sent to buffet Paul so he wouldn’t “be exalted overmuch.” (2Co.12:8) Concerning this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. (9) And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for [my] power is made perfect in weakness. The King James here has that this word is “weakness,” but this word and the word up in verse five are the same Greek word, so one of them can’t be “infirmity” and the other one “weakness.”  

They have to both be the same thing and they are because they’re using the same Greek word in talking about Jesus, the Bible says, “for he was crucified through weakness” (2Co.13:4). Now, nobody would have put “infirmity” there. Jesus wasn’t crucified through infirmity, so they had to put the truth there and the King James did use “weakness” in that case. (4) For he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth through the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him through the power of God toward you. See, when you are weak in Christ, or be a child in Christ, you’re going to live through the power of God. It’s when you are not able; being weak in ability to save yourself, weak in ability to deliver yourself, weak in ability to heal yourself. He says when you’re in that condition, then God’s power is going to be with you.  

If we will refuse to be strong and we will put our trust in God, we will see His power there every time. It reminds me of a vision I had years ago, in which Mary and I were sitting in some lawn chairs in front of our house in Louisiana. While we were sitting there, we saw this power line hanging from pole to pole. The strange thing about it, as we were looking at this and studying this, was that the power line was almost touching the ground in the middle because it was sagging so bad. And while we were watching that, a tornado came over that power line and sucked us up out of our chairs. Then the vision changed and I felt like we were over in Florida and the Lord was showing us something about our ministry over there.  

But what He showed me about that always stuck with me. As we were sitting there, ceasing from our works and resting in lawn chairs, watching the power of man come to an end (that’s the power lines), then the power of God took over. Man’s extremity is God’s opportunity. God’s not ready to move until we do cease from our works because we have faith. Every time you have faith, you can stop and cease from your work, cease from your struggling, cease from trying to save yourself because the Bible says you are saved. God’s power is made perfect in our weakness.  

Paul said, “most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses (not “infirmities” because it’s the exact same Greek word), that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2Co.12:9). We are to glory in our weaknesses so that the power of Christ may rest upon us. A child has all the power of Daddy because he is the provider, he is the deliverer, he is the savior. He takes care of it all and they don’t think it should be any other way and we should be that way, too. We’ve been trained to think otherwise, to be grownups, but you know, God wants us to think like His children. Well, I think that we can see by now that the ‘verse,’ “God helps those who help themselves,” is not Godly at all; it’s antichrist. It will never allow you to enter into the power of God or the power of Christ to rest upon you.  

Paul says he glories in his weaknesses so that the power of Christ may rest upon him. (2Co.12:10) … I take pleasure in weaknesses…. King James says “infirmities.” Nobody takes pleasure in infirmities. That’s ridiculous. The word here is the same Greek word again. It’s “weakness.” Yes, we take pleasure in weaknesses. It’s great to be weak and not have the ability to deliver yourself because then you get to see the miracle of God. And he went on to say, in “injuries,” or actually the word there is “insults,” according to the ancient manuscripts and the Received Text and several others; it’s “insults,” not necessarily “injuries.” You don’t take pleasure in injuries, but “in insults, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong” (2Co.12:10).  

Now, what was this buffeting that this angel of Satan sent his way? Some people say there are no such things as angels of Satan. The Bible says the demons are the angels of Satan, so just forget about what anyone else says because it’s wrong. Michael and his angels fought with Satan and his angels (Revelation 12:7). Demons are all fallen angels. That’s where they came from.  

So what is this buffeting? What are these many different blows that the angel of Satan brought Paul’s way in order to make him weak? Or put him into a position of weakness? Well, Paul gives a list of them. (2Co.11:21) I speak by way of disparagement, as though we had been weak. Yet whereinsoever any is bold (I speak in foolishness), I am bold also. (22) Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I. (23) Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as one beside himself) I more; in labors more abundantly, in prisons more abundantly, in stripes above measure, in deaths oft.  

He’s talking about the places where he was weak to save himself. You know, when we get into places where we don’t see any possibility of saving ourselves, that’s wonderful because we get to see the power of God. If we walk by faith in those places, then we get to see the miracles of God. That’s what God wants to teach us. Remember, God was the One Who sent this angel of Satan to humble Paul and we need humbling because we’re grownups who need to become children. We need to not be self-sufficient; we need to be God-sufficient. We need to be trusting in our Lord’s promises to save us in all these situations. So God brings us into these places and Satan’s angel brings us into these places where we’re weak, where we need the power of God.  

Let’s continue reading Paul’s list. (2Co.11:24) Of the Jews five times received I forty [stripes] save one. (25) Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day have I been in the deep; (26) [in] journeyings often, [in] perils of rivers, [in] perils of robbers, [in] perils from [my] countrymen, [in] perils from the Gentiles, [in] perils in the city, [in] perils in the wilderness, [in] perils in the sea, [in] perils among false brethren; (27) [in] labor and travail, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.  

God put Paul in those places in order for him to be weak so that he could see the power of God. Being weak is not a time to be anxious or worried; this is a time when you should expect to see the power of God. It’s God’s purpose and His plan to bring us to weakness in order for us to see His power. Don’t ever be cast down because of what you see because what you see are these places that make you weak to save yourself. He wants you to trust in Him and see His power. This is the place where God’s power rests upon you.  

Paul went on, “besides those things that are without, there is that which presseth upon me daily, anxiety for all the churches (2Co.11:28). (29) Who is weak (that’s the word “weak”), and I am not weak? who is caused to stumble, and I burn not? (30) If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things that concern my weakness.” That’s another place that the King James calls it “infirmity” but it’s the same word! In the same text, if a word is translated one way in one part of the text and another way in another part of the text, that is dishonest and deceiving. It either has to be one or the other. Thank God for the places that He brings us to where we’re weak! That’s the only place we ever see miracles. Do you realize that?  

That is the place we’re most tempted to throw up our hands and be anxious or worried or troubled. All miracles are given right there, in a place of weakness, the place where you’re unable. Now, if you have the mind of a child and you get in that place, you just expect Father to take over from then on. This is something that He normally does. God normally supplies your need, like in the teaching Jesus gave about the birds and the flowers. He said they don’t labor and they don’t toil to clothe and to feed themselves (Matthew 6:26,28). You mean, the Lord is saying you don’t have to work to bring about this clothing and feeding? That’s exactly what He said. Go back and read it. It’s so clear.  

He knew that you’d get yourself in a situation and He even ordained these situations to come, where you wouldn’t be able to provide for yourself. And He said, “are not two sparrows sold for a penny? and not one of them shall fall on the ground without your Father (Mat.10:29). (30) But the very hairs on your head are all numbered. (31) Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.” Look, not even a hair falls out of your head, can you imagine, that God doesn’t know it! He knows us so intimately that not one hair can fall out of your head without Him knowing it. I mean, your hairs are always falling out and growing back. That is an intimate God Who can number the hairs of your head. He knows a lot, so how could we possibly get into a situation that He doesn’t know about and hasn’t planned for? He is our Jehovah-jireh, the Lord our Provider. (Php.4:19) And my God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.  

God can do anything. Think about some of the things that God has done in the Scriptures and He really did do them. He stopped the solar system for a day so Joshua could defeat his enemies. And, you know what? The great thing about it is He’s “the same yesterday, and to-day, [yea] and forever” (Heb.13:8). He is the same. He will still do anything to meet your needs, if you will be weak and have faith.  

Now, the time when you ought to have faith is when you’re weak because God doesn’t need to meet your needs when you don’t have needs. You don’t need a miracle until you need a miracle. Don’t think that you can avoid a trial of your faith by receiving the miracle before you need it. No. God tries your faith. The miracle doesn’t come till the miracle’s needed. Trust in Him between here and there because He will be there. He will do what you need. Be confident in Him. Be children in Him. This is what we need to learn and it’s not an easy lesson.  

It demands the death of self, but religion has trained us up with the mind of the beast because religion has taught that God helps those who help themselves and it trains us to take care of these situations. Religion trains us to trust in the arm of the flesh. They even changed God into a god which He has never been so that they can trust in the arm of the flesh. “Now God does it this way,” they say, as if Jesus doesn’t heal the same way He always healed, by laying hands on the sick or by speaking the word of faith. That’s the same way He’s always healed and He still does it that way.  

You can run out and get the strength of the world, make your alliances with the world, get your insurance from the world. They’ll change God and go to any extent to let the flesh live. But we have to become as a child, otherwise, Jesus says, you’re not entering into the Kingdom of Heaven (Luke 18:17). The Kingdom of Heaven is where God rules, God reigns, God saves, God delivers. He hasn’t changed. We have attempted to change Him. God put us here in this weak position. He planned for us always to be in a weak position, so that He could be our Savior.  

Back to Paul in (2Co.4:7) But we have this treasure (the treasure is the light of the knowledge of the glory of God) in earthen vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves. God put this treasure, this knowledge of God, in such a weak vessel so that when anything happened, it would have to bring glory to Him and not to us. He could have put us in a very knowledgeable, very wise, very strong, and very healthy vessel and we wouldn’t have needed His help. He wouldn’t have needed to be God, would He? We would have been our own gods.  

God didn’t choose us because we are able. He chose us because we’re not able. He wanted to give us freely His ability through grace and that’s unmerited. You can’t earn it and you can’t pay for it. When you get yourself in an impossible situation, think about it. God put you there and He put you there so that you could see how great He is.  

So God put this wonderful treasure in an earthen vessel, a very weak vessel. (2Co.4:8) We are pressed on every side, yet not straitened; perplexed, yet not unto despair; (9) pursued, yet not forsaken; smitten down, yet not destroyed; (10) always bearing about in the body the dying of Jesus (which is the death of self), so that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body. God wants Jesus to live through us, but we have to be weak for Him to do that. The power of Christ will rest upon those who are weak. We’re powerful only because we have faith in God. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13) but He doesn’t strengthen until you’re weak, you see. We have to cease before He will start. We have to keep the Sabbath and cease from our works and enter into His works through faith.  

God not only put us in a world that was bigger than us and with an enemy that was a lot bigger than us, He put us in a vessel that was weak to begin with, so that when the salvation came, we would know it was from Him and not from ourselves. We think we’re so great and we’ve been trained to be self-sufficient. Mommas and daddies train-up their children to be self-sufficient. That’s not what God wants. He wants a child. Never has He chosen the strong and this gives you hope that when you get in impossible situations, God planned for you to be there so that He could show you His power, so that He could show you His deliverance and His salvation. This is God’s plan. It’s been His plan from the beginning and He’s done it over and over.  

We read in (Deu.7:6) For thou art a holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples that are upon the face of the earth. God has chosen you above all the peoples that are upon the face of the earth. Did you know that? If He chose you, He chose you above someone else, but He didn’t choose you because you’re wiser or smarter or more able or mighty because “not many mighty, not many noble, [are called]” (1Co.1:26). God chose the weak. (Deu.7:7) The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all peoples. And it’s still that way.  

Why did God choose “the fewest of all peoples?” Certainly, if He was fighting battles with all the Canaanites, He would want the greatest number, wouldn’t He? No, because when the battle was won, He didn’t want anybody to say, “Look what we did!” And when the battle is won in our lives, He doesn’t want anybody to be able to say, “Look what we did!” “Look how powerful we are!” “Look how wise we are!” Or, “Oh, we were smart enough to follow God.” You know, all these things that people could say.  

We never need to count on our own strength. David did that and brought a curse on Israel (2 Samuel 24; 1 Chronicles 21). He counted the people of Israel and brought a curse on them because God sent a pestilence that killed 70,000 men, just so David couldn’t count on his own strength (2 Samuel 24:15; 1 Chronicles 21:14). When you count on your strength, look out because you have trouble coming. God’s going to humble you. God’s in the humbling process with us. He wants to deliver us from trusting in the arm of the flesh.  

You know, we can be as a child. We are unable in so many things. Sometimes we’re forced into a position of being unable. But I tell you that what Jesus wants for us is not that we be forced into a position of weakness, but that we walk in that position of our own free will, refusing to be strong. This is the great thing. If we will learn to refuse to be strong, we will see the miracles of God now. Exercise faith for a miracle from God so everyone knows He is the Saviour.
